Without knowing the potency or variety of the shrooms you're getting, I'd say 2g is a good starter dose. Less than that with weak to average shrooms may not be enough, but 2g of very potent shrooms is still a low enough dose that you (hopefully) won't totally freak out.
You can make tea if choking down the mushrooms themselves makes you queasy. My favorite method of masking the taste is to grind the shrooms into a fine powder, then mix into some melted chocolate, then pour the chocolate into an ice cube tray or something similar so it can harden into separate pieces. This works best if you have at least a few doses to begin with, though, as it's kind of a pain to melt the chocolate and then let it harden for just one or two doses.
