First time ever seen this......

I tested some powder substance that was sold to a person I met, as pure MDMA powder. I offered to test it before he threw it out as He said that "it tasted like sugar and he could tell it wasn't real." I took some of the white an very slightly brownish speckled grainy/powder an placed on a clean white plate. I placed one drop on to a very small sample. It turned instantly deep almost blackish purple along with bubbling and fizzing. It very rapidly maybe 3-5 sec went completely deep an thickish black almost like ink. I also noticed how the entire drop of reagent had changed color not just streaks within the drop. I have never seen such a quick an complete almost violently fast reaction. I did look for any puff of smoke to indicate a DXM presence but one was not present.

Never have I seen such a complete deep black color appear. I tested another sample but tilted the plate about 2 sec. after reagent was placed on sample. All of the same results but when the color spread due to the plate being tilted. The intensely black color showed a very greenish shade. It was hard to tell if the green was lighter and made dark in appearance due to the severe black color combined with it or if it was a dark shade of green an the lighter tones were just where the liquid had thinned giving a lighter appearance.

I am very interested if anyone else has ever seen this or some thing similar. I am thinking that it is either the purest MDMA I have tested in 5 years of testing pills, possible containing some 2c substance with respect to the greenish color? Or even more realistic, some other substance hopefully known to someone here that is responsible for such unusual test results? If anyone has any ideas please post as I am tempted to sample some, strictly for educational enlightenment.

My mate was given a bag of white powder which was sold to him as MDMA powder. It was very slightly off white, and more of a very fine crystal/salt, more so then powder. His test results were very similar - he described it as instantly turning very dark/deep black and he also mentioned that it bubbled at first. After that result he was keen enough to try it, and said he experienced a very clean roll.
As for other substances that may have a similar reaction, I can't help you there...

sounds like the real thing to me! the greenish color is probably a result from the aggressive reaction. if there's a 2c in there, it should give a bright green color.
