first time benzo

Yes a lot of people do forget everything when they're on benzos and black out. I've only had a benzo while I had my very impacted wisdom teeth removed, and I was glad not to remember any of it. I'm moving this to BDD.

Some people overdo it. I have friends who told me how they would steal benzos from relatives when they were young and just didn't give a fuck what they took or how much of any drug they took, or what it did, and would take so many that they would black out for multiple days.
8(I'm assuming that the number of pills (14), was meant to be a 2 week prescription following the surgery.
I'm not judging you, but what on earth posessed you to take all of them at once?
Also, don't be surprised if you hear about some crazy ass shit you did that day while you were intoxicated. It will turn into a puzzle that is filled day by day.

you need to do some research before attempting to take any benzo again taking high doses like that is irresponsible and foolish
although you might be ok next time you take that much and black out

is'nt 1mg ativan eqiulant to 10mg diazepam? so in theory you took somthing like 140mg of valium! thats a shit load of benzos
recommended dose is .5 to 1 mg to even start then adjust as needed 2mg can be quite a lot with zero tolerance

I took 400 mg of diazepam once. I was in horrible withdrawals and just wanted to sleep. I got a lot more than that. Ended up in the ER then the psych ward. They kept insisting I was trying to kill myself. I finally convinced them that I'm loving life and that I can shave and shower alone...yep time traveling....
Oh and I don't remember the hospital at all, and I missed like the whole first day at the ward. They made me sleep in the main room so the tech could monitor me closely. I don't suggest it, but I woke up and never felt better, I was through withdrawal, but well...I was in a psych ward.

if you get taken in to the ER for taking to much of well anything also put your ass on suicide watch which is standard procedure from what i gather

What a crazy, stupid thing to do, I don't care if the OP was experimenting, that was a horrifyingly high dose, even me, the Queen of benzos would black out from that not to mention hallucinate. Please don't do that again, we are here to help and advise you so please stay safe and don't do that again.

To OP: I have abused the hell out of benzos. Yes they can be fun, but there is indeed a goldilocks dose. You overshoot it, you might be pitching woo at the burger king drive through sign, too low and you may redose which will get you beyond your dosage.
secondly, each benzo has its own onset and halflife. Yep, xanax will fry you quick, but klonpin will come on easy like a hard on in your sleep.
Lastly...If you find yourself indulging in a few lovely benzos, do not drink!!!! It is not for amateurs! You need to be a total ace, or a complete screw up to walk that path my friend, especially malt liquor, as it is so delicious.

i originally only took a few and was drinking, took a couple more then dont remember anything from that night. i woke up with the pill bottle empty, buddies told me i took em all, drank half a bottle of some coconut flavoured rum. i dont intend on taking that much again trust me lol. its odd to not remember an entire day.
as for those asking about the hallucinations my buddies were telling me i was playing some game with imaginary people. lol. even asked them how to make meth at one point. fucked if i know. i cant remember a single thing. nor the reasons.

^^^thats trademark. First you take a couple benzos...a respectable dose...you know just to loosen up a bit. Then you have a couple beers and your inhibitions go down. You think you need more benzos.....then you wakeup the next day wondering why your naked under your bed.
