so im looking for a bit of advice here on how to tell if im wd'ing. basically, ive been taking codiene or dhc very regularly for the past 8/9 months, with a break from it over the summer that was in reality, more of a switch to pretty regular social(ie not very heavy) oxy usage. during a business trip this past week to amsterdam, i didnt take much of anything as i was smoking a lot, and have definitely taken no opiates for the past 4 days. the past 3 days, i have been feeling like shit, vomiting randomly, sweating at night, and have been literally pissing out of my asshole (if youll excuse the crude expression ha). the question is whether this is just a collection of being exhausted and my stomach ulcer acting up, or whether i should consider this a WD.
i know this is complicated and kind of pointless, im not sure anyone will be willing or able to give me advice with the information im putting out, but if this is in fact opiate withdrawl i want to just get over it as id be a few days into the cold turkey. I have gone through a pretty rough benzo (valium) withdrawl, and just want to nip this in the bud if its another 'im a dumbass for taking chemicals without thinking about it' situation.
thanks a lot

Well, I don't think anyone could authoritively state if your stomach ulcer has nothing to do with it, but I suspect you'd know if that's the case more than anyone. It just sounds like common withdrawals to me, although if you're still feeling like it's day 2 off opiates past 4 or 5 days (and I mean day 2) then perhaps you should start asking more questions, if not just see a doctor.

How often were you "socially" using oxys? If it was even once every 2-3 days, but on the dot, you'd still definitely feel bad withdrawals from my experience.

edit - you diazepam withdrawal had to of been worse than what you're going through now, as I can relate. Eat more immodium AD. Go to the healthfood store and look for some good over the counter herbs and suppliments to sleep, barring relapsing on benzos.

there's plenty of thread on this topic if you use the search engine. even check out the directory and there are threads pertaining to this subject if you're after help for a wd.

as for whether you went through withdrawal, it's hard to tell. all the tell tale signs are there. but being in a foreign country you may have picked up a stomach bug or it could be your ulcer acting up.

chances are if you'd been using regularly up until you took your flight to amsterdam it would likely be a short wd.

your doctor could give you a good opinion as well.
