Misc First drug you tried that you instantly fell in love with?

Opiods. took 4 10mg lorcet qt 13. Started a 20 year journey from hydro to oxycodone to dilaudid then heroin then methadone and now subs. Probably die on the fuxkers ( hopefully at 90yrs old during sex.... ).
 
Oral Oxycodone…..the most potent Euphoric bliss I’ve ever experienced…the warmest blanket of comfort, safety, content, extreme inner joy & robust dopaminergic/opioid pleasure…..VERY potent analgesic narcotic painkiller with high oral bioavailability and rapid onset.

Oral Ritalin (Methylphenidate) the most pleasurable dopaminergic stimulant I’ve ever tried. Nearly identical euphoric bliss I experienced from Oxycodone, basically identical pleasure

The only substance I instantly loved (and I don't mean got hooked on) was LSD. What an experience! I've never been as high on anything else (which is saying something). I feel like it changed me, and not in a bad way. And there's absolutely no way to describe what it's like to those who've never tripped either.
 
I'd say I fell in "love" with drugs after my first Spine surgery. A friend had asked me for a few Percocet as I had 100s due to the fact at the time I thought of them as Tylenol. His response was "You can take or snort a few and they get you high" since then Opiates/Opioids have been my love.

But as far as the Drug I love and would always choose? Oxymorphone IR (Opana). The IV rush from a few Opanas is amazing, and the fact that you can even snort them and it's still amazing. Hands down it will always be Pharmaceutical Oxymorphone.
 
Oxycodone IR - most euphoric opioid EVER. powerful analgesic painkiller with robust mood-boosting/antidepressant effects ….first time I ever experienced true/real euphoric bliss

Ritalin (Methylphenidate) - extremely euphoric mood-boosting / antidepressant properties and extremely similar to the euphoric bliss I experienced with Oxycodone. Like an inner happiness & inner joy that is so comforting and powerful content

Oxycodone & Methylphenidate……the only two drugs to ever enduce powerful euphoria. Period. I’ve done every CII controlled substance (within reason)


If I was 20 years old and completely naive to all drugs…..Oxy-IR 5mg / 10mg plus Ritalin (Methylphenidate) 10mg IR together with mixed drinks…..oral speedball …..45min my brain would melt with euphoric bliss
 
Hydrocodone was the one that started it all. Here I am, 2025 and almost 38 years old and I still haven't gone more than a year without some sort of opioid in my system. And the saddest part is, now I actually need them. I fixed myself up and quit all the other drugs. Pretty much persist on solely kratom and gabapentin now, and rely on both for physical and mental health reasons. Started drinking a bit after 10 years sobriety, but I've quit that again as well. Not worth it. Though, this new 7-hydroxymitragynine flooded the market, especially in relatively pure powder form ($$$) has got its talons in me and made me fall back in my recovery, for sure. It's also not worth it. Trying to get back on solely plain leaf but it's hard now.
 
I dunno.
My first drugs were weed, alcohol & cigs at age 12. But I wouldn't say I "instantly fell in love" with any of them. Alcohol made me dizzy & sick & so did weed some times, but I kept using them cause that's what the "adults" & "cool" people did.

I started doing cocaine & ecstasy by age 15, but I wouldn't say I fell in love with them right away or anything either. My older brother dealt drugs & dealt with other dealers, so we were always getting fucked up on something in my teen years. Probably did 50 different xtc pills from age 15-16 alone. I liked it of course, same with cocaine, but I wouldn't say I "loved" them to the point where I had to have them.

By 16 I did my first psilocybin mushroom trip & i absolutely loved it. Became crazy about mushrooms for awhile after that, even though I only had a couple more chances with them when I was a teenager. I've since done mushrooms again in the past few years & now you couldn't pay me to take shrooms. lol I'll take acid over shrooms any day.

And then I'd say I instantly fell in love with tramadol around 19 or 20 years old. They were unscheduled at the time, my mom got them for back pain & she figured they were trash since they weren't controlled or anything. I took a couple & then sat in my room & had a few beers with it. Music became so phenomenal that I just couldn't stop listening to it. So I kept doing it again day after day. Fast forward 10 years & I went through tramadol withdrawal every single month for those 10 years. I think I did the math & it comes out to like 120 times I've gone through tramadol withdrawal.

And then of course around 25 I tried heroin my first time. My friend surprised me with it because she knew I liked opioids & pain pills. I still remember that day. It was early morning, I was on my way to a therapy session down the street. Had just done a DXM trip the night before. So I had a bit of an afterglow. My friend hit me up, said she had something for me & to come over after therapy. I figured it was just another one of her adderall pills she was gonna give me or something. But nope, I got over there, she shows me this light brown/tran powder on a plate & tells me it's heroin & I can snort the whole thing. So I did. Instantly loved it. Spent another 5 years doing that off & on in between doing tramadol too.
 
Hydrocodone, many many moons ago. I knew it was going to be too pricy, so I quickly switched buprenorphine, then when I had an excess of cash, heroin. Ten years later and I’m on enough opioids to kill multiple people. Sometimes I get very sad about it, this is one of those days.

Have you ever had side effects from the Ritalin? I've heard good things about it and definitely want to try sometime.

EDIT mushrooms too, instantly in love, but they and the other psyches (with the notable exception of Salvia) have brought me nothing but healing and joy, basically the opposite to the stims

I also fell instantly in love with sulphate, also aged 17. Prior to that, I fell in love with mushrooms aged 15.

Both led me down a dark path.

Same with heroin at 17.


Still hopelessly in love with weed and MDMA, aged 60 😃
 
Cocaine HCL and crack! But now I hate them same with hash, weed, xtc, amphithamine,LSD hate the lot, loving feeling clean, I was turning into a shitbag of a degenerant on gear. Best advice don't do drugs if you do you'll probably be best giving up or at least seeking help to end your addiction/habit etc💙🙏 to you
 
not the first drug i tried but meth definitely takes the spot. first tried at 15 and has kept me in its hook
also vicodin at the same age. though i never got into it enough to get addicted - but easily one of the most euphoric feelings ive ever felt.

First drug I was ever given was benzos by my mother at 8 years old (dont remember it of course 😅)

First drug I ever took freely was oxycodone, before alcohol or weed or anything else. I think I was 14, took one pill because my cousin told me to and was anxious as hell for 30 minutes until it kicked in. Suddenly every problem I had ever had melted away instantly, just layed on the floor for 3 - 4 hours feeling like I had an orgasm every time I took a breath

First drug I truly fell in ”love” with though has to be the first time I did mushrooms or a high dose of amphetamine. Stimulants and hallucinogens were my drugs of choice until I got sober
 
The first drug I ever tried and instantly fell in love with was nitrous. I was like 9 or 10 years old, and the dentist would put the mask on me it felt absolutely heavenly.

Then came weed. From the very first puff, I loved it. For many years it was perfect, but eventually our relationship got complicated, so we went our separate ways.

My most enjoyable experience, though, was at 17. Right before a surgery, a nurse gave me an intramuscular injection of morphine. I don’t know how much he gave me, but within minutes maybe even seconds I was nodding off. I think I had some kind of hallucination, or maybe it was an opioid dream. I couldn’t tell if I was asleep or awake, or for how long. It felt like I was lying on clouds smooth, soft, and absolutely perfect. After what felt like hours, the nurse woke me up and took me into surgery.

They operated with local anesthesia, and I was completely carefree the whole time. I was laughing and cracking jokes with the doctors while they worked on my genitals. It was so good that even the doctors were laughing along with me. I didn’t care about anything I even wanted to watch the surgery, so I kept lifting my head to see.
