they're worthless and don't provide a high.

For whatever reason I started occasionally drinking this random shit my parents had when I was 13... Martini & Rossi? I think it was... Didn't get drunk or anything but just drank it, dunno why. There were a couple other occasions where I had some wine but didn't get drunk either. Then I first got drunk right after I turned 15, smoked my first cigarette a month or two later, started smoking kind of frequently later that year. Didn't try weed until next spring when I was about to turn 16.

93 for alcohol - 40.01% of the vote, a clear indication that it is the official fucking gateway drug if there is such a thing, NOT MARIJUANA.

59 for cannabis - 25.43%

47 for misc. drugs - 20.34% (opioids, stimulants, psychedelics, etc.)

33 for tobacco - 14.22%


for those who said cannabis, consider that many chose tobacco which IMO doesn't get you high, so maybe you drank alcohol before you ever smoked and didnt get drunk you just had a beer or two, should that count? it would seem logical that if tobacco counts light alcohol use should count as well which i think would make alcohol have an even higher percentage, not that it needs one, its already 15% higher than marijuana

Strange how a lot of people start off with illegal drugs. Alcohol was my first drugs, and for a while. However it must be easier in Europe as young people can get easy access to alcohol.
First alcohol intoxication must have been at about 15, first cannabis intoxication around 20. Magic mushrooms, ketamine and lsd followed at 21, and I sure hope there are lots more next

can't remember which came first, alcohol or tobacco. i remember trying a cigarette when i was about 9 or 10, but around that time at a neighbors party me and my little mates stole alcohol and got drunk lol.

anyway it was either tobacco or alcohol...
