First Drug Ever Tried?

What was the first recreational drug you tried?

First drug I ever abused. I'd pound a whole 2liter every Friday night if I was stuck at home and feeling down or bored. I was young.. thought it was cool.
 
First drug ever tried? A mixture of amphetamine salts, known as Adderall.

I was a freshman in high school and I was curious. A friend had ADHD and said the Adderall would turn me into a "zombie". He gave a couple of 20mg tablets. I split one in half and took 10mg that night.

It did not turn me into a zombie. It did the opposite. When it kicked in, I found myself extremely talkative and felt a rush like I never thought possible. I fell in love. I researched the drug the next day as was shocked to find out it was amphetamine.

I never used the drug every single day. So dependence never was a problem. I remember having some horrible heart-related side effects from the amp, so I haven't touched them since.
 
compound fracture of my leg, got prescribed percocet they were either the 7.5 or 10s. I took 2 before school one day and realized how good it made me felt and how I actually was enjoying class(social anxiety so I usually hated school). A couple times I took 3 and was nodding out in class. The first opiate high I jsut felt like what I thought it felt like to be normal, like whatever problems I have the opiates took care of. Which is probly why I eventually got addicted. I didn't even use opiates regurarly for a couple years after that but it was inevitable that I would get addicted because of the feeling of being normal and the motivation and mood lift the opiate high gives me.
 
The first illegal drug I ever took was actually ecstasy, what I believe to be MDMA but we all know how that game goes. Took me years before I started smoking weed or smoked it even for the first time. There must have been something seriously wrong with me...
 
hydrocodone at 13, cocaine at 14, then settled back on the hydrocodone at 16 when I had my wisdom teeth out & went on with opiates from there whenever I could. I tried smoking (nicotine, not weed) when I was like 11 or 12 but hated it.

Never touched weed. Just turned 21 and still haven't gone out drinking, but that could be because the social drinking doesn't appeal to me at all.
 
I got tylenol #3 with Codeine when I was in 5th grade for a broken finger. Then hydrocodone in middle school for tooth problems, I finally tried weed the summer between 8th and 9th grade (middle school & high school). After that it was alcohol, mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, Oxycodone, Morphine, Cocaine, then finally 2-CE and Heroin.
 
i think for just about everyperson here :

it was sugar, perhaps caffine, workingout/runners high

we get 'high' on all sorts of things, one learns at an early age that we can ingest things or do stuff to make ourselves feel better, as one gets older thier exposed to different avenues of achieving different desired states

some people compare our INNATE desire/drive to change our consciousness is analogous to our sex drive and perhaps even our hunger drive
 
Caffeine in fizzy drinks. I tried a sip of wine at a young age.

15 - First time I got drunk.
17 - Amphetamine. Introduction to illicit drugs.
17 - Spice / JWH-whateveritis. First foray into the legal/RC scene.
18 - Weed. Only had a few puffs off shitty soap before this.
18 - MDMA. Really got me interested in drugs.

Then it all went a bit nuts. :)

Alcohol at 16.

I chugged this large glass of wine as a "dare" of sorts... Got a huge buzz and incredible euphoria in 10 minutes. I don't think I've ever had that much fun with ethanol since lol.
