First day ever trying anti-depressants...placebo effect?

i would lay it all of for now, but i can tell you if it has a bad interaction, i dont think so, but i would rather be safe and reseach it self, and if your strugling mental psychedelics isnt the best thing to be doing, just imo/ime

My G.P and all health professionals i have spoken to have advised against using ALL non prescription medication whist being treated on an SSRI/SNRI etc.

Probably due to the effect that other drugs quite possibly/probably have some bearing on Anxiety/Depression related illness's

Ive been thinking about asking my doc about getting started on pregabalin as it works a little like lorazepam and venlafexin with noticed effect allready after a week, and since im allready on a high dose velafexin i think it would be a good alternative since my velafexin dosnt really do much.

imo pregabalin sounds like the ultimate antidressant, i cant believe i isnt used more here around,

Generalized anxiety disorder (approved in the European Union).

Usually physicians will start the patient on a low dose of pregabalin and increase it gradually, depending on the patient's evaluation. Its therapeutic effect appears after 1 week of use and is similar in effectiveness to lorazepam, alprazolam and venlafaxine but pregabalin has demonstrated superiority by producing more consistent therapeutic effects for psychic and somatic anxiety symptoms.

with the short working time with pregabalin we could just eat when needed, and wasnt forced stuffing us with useless ssri's
here if you get a bad period then you just your medicine, and a week after your back to earth, i know its now that simple but i really think its sounds promesing...

^ remember that tolerance and addiction are both possible with pregabalin. I don't know much about it's efficacy with anxiety - being GABAergic I'd be surprised if it didn't work to a certain degree, but be wary of taking what one research paper says as gospel. If depression is an issue, GABAergic drugs can actually worsen this.

Good luck :) <3
