Misc Fiorinil C 1/2's - Anyone experienced?

It's been a long time since I have been wanting to try a barbituate, and I just came across some rare Fiorinil C 1/2. They are hard to come by here in Canada, though I doubt Butalbital is really as effective as other barbs like seconal or nembutal.

I imagine that if they market this substance in combination with codeine it must be safer than other barbituates? Well it turns out the C 1/2 contain 30 mg codeine and about 60 mg butalbital...and some caffeine and ASA i believe.

I only have two of these buggers, but also got some sublingual Ativans and some Emtec 30s (Codeine + APAP, no caffeine). So maybe I will experiment with different ratios of codeine to benzo to barb...but this sounds dangerous, yes.

Any reccomendations on how to use Fiorinil without experiencing major health complications? What can you compare to 60 mg of butalbital?

Nothing :/ I mean, it felt like next-to-nothing... or did for me. Obviously with the caffeine and added codeine and ASA these aren't the best to abuse-- plus you only have two-- but yeah, when I was prescribed these (APAP instead of ASA) for headaches they didn't really do much in terms of catching a buzz but were helpful for pain. I didn't have any tolerance to speak of at the time.

Of course your experience could be very different (and I am a pretty big guy) but basically the most I got out of 1-2 of these was a slight calming feeling not unlike a very small benzo dose. It wasn't at all unpleasant, but based on going through a bottle of 30 and finding pretty much the same thing again and again throughout, I wouldn't really search these out even with the bit of barb in there.

Yes, adding a benzo to a drug which is already comprised of 2 CNS Depressants and a mild stimulant sounds like a dangerous idea, even at low doses.

I certainly don't want anyone underestimating these and it's entirely possible an opioid/barb-naive person could get more out of them than I did, but again I was naive at the time too so... I dunno, that's just my take on them. I might even save them for a wicked headache if I were you, rather than trying to/expecting to get much out of them recreationally.

Side note for anyone else who finds this kind of stuff interesting: Fiorinal and Fioricet were so named because they were developed at Montefiore's Headache Center.

Seems like I have been giving these pills more credit than they deserve...I suppose it's just because they are rare pills, and most people haven't even heard of barbituates (benzos have largely replaced barbs).

Though I must say I am quite sensitive to codeine, and I have lots of codeine most of the time....I only take 60 mg to not feel sick, and 90 or more when I want to catch a buzz.

I'm thinking cause I only have 2 of these fiorinils i'll take an extra emperil....so it would be a total of about 600 mg ASA, 300 mg APAP, 60 mg butalbital, 90 mg of codeine, and some caffeine (dont mind it too much).

I happen to have a headache now so i think i'll pop those two bad boys and see what gives...peace!

Damn, I wish I had your tolerance to Codiene Supeudol, when my tolerance was nothing it took 150mg to catch a slight buzz. But never heard of these, must not be in the states. I think we have some Barbituate that starts with a B but it also has Caffiene in it(they give it for headaches I think had a friend get it one time, didn't take any I was munching down Soma's and Lorcets), the last thing I want if I'm taking a barbituate to relax is fucking caffiene, but I suppose there is little to no recreational value to this Barb anyway(Fiorcet is the generic name I think) since it's not talked about alot and is given for headaches a lot. Remember my friend said they didn't do anything but help their headaches.

I'm in the States, Screaming, so they're at least still prescribed every so often here. You are indeed thinking of Fioricet, which is the brand name (also Esgic, I think). It's butalbital/caffeine/acetaminophen so yeah the same barb mentioned in the OP. There is also Fiorinal, which is essentially the same as Fioricet but contains aspirin instead of APAP. Both Fiorinal and Fioricet come in "+ codeine" versions, which is what I had a few years ago. They only help certain headache types, mostly tension and muscle-contraction related head pain. Not very helpful for migraines, for most people... the caffeine is likely to do more than the butalbital for a migraine.
