Okay I'm going to try and make this as short as possible. This week I had my first appt with a new doctor so I can get all my meds from one person so things are easier for both doc and myself. I told him I have suffered from migranes for years and a month ago I went to a neurologist for the first time. His diagnosis was basically nothing serious and agreed to give me fioricet which is the only thing that has worked. I had been trying to get a refill from him for over a week and it just so happened the day I saw the new GP I got a voicemail the neuro called in the fioricet refill for 30 pills and my husband picked it up(before I could tell him about my appt with new doc) anyway the new GP was wonderful and listened to my situation and agreed I needed a much higher dose of fioricet and was okay with me sending my records from neurologist to him and I can stop seeing the neurologist and just go through him, my new GP.
I wanted to know if I allowed to fill the new prescription he wrote me for the 90 fioricet even though the neurologist called one in 2 days ago but for much smaller amt and different dosage instructions. I don't mind paying out of pocket but I am trying to avoid any trouble. Thanks for any advice!
PS the last rx was 4 days of medication
