Fioricet - I know, I know, likely a lame question, but...

Am I the only person who finds Fioricet (acetaminophen/caffeine/butalbital) - yep, Fioricet of all things, to be enjoyable? I originally started taking it for stressy and tension type headaches due to my job that requires I sit in one damn place and stare at a computer monitor for 8+ hours a day, but the stuff makes me a really rambly conversationalist (which I really like, although it probably drives the people I talk to batshit crazy). I know it's not the caffeine in it - I've taken over-the-counter stress/migraine meds with caffeine in 'em with no effect at all. Does anybody here besides me actually get a kicky, fun mental state from taking Fioricet? <3:\
 
Wayyy back in the day I would take 3 or 4 and i felt pretty nice, but like, it's not as nice as xanax or something
 
When I'm out of Tramadol I'd take mine, it has Codeine with it as well. But, really I found that barbs are rather toxic to my brain and my reasoning abilities so I have stop abusing it.
 
I dig Fioricet on occasion. Definately not my DOC, but no barbiturates are.

I really dig Fioricet also, with or without Codeine. I enjoy the butalbital. I was scripted it for like 6 months long ago with Soma and it produced one of the most relaxing feelings, with exception of opioid drugs. I'd take 3-4 of them with a couple Soma and just lay around all sedated with a grin on my face.

The shorter acting barbiturates have recreational value! Seconal and Tuinal for instance, especially in combo with cocaine. Not many people are prescribed them anymore, mostly just for hospital settings but there was once a time long ago where I had access from unknown source. Benzodiazepines with euphoria.
 
Thanks for the replies. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I never, ever could find anyone else that seemed to really get into it. People I've talked to over the last few years thought it was useless and had no zippy effect.
 
I have access to Fiorinal, 50mg butalbitol, asprin, caffeine, and of course, 30mg codeine.
Feel okay when I pop about 6 ( I'm a tall dude and weigh over 220lbs/99.8kgs ). If I'm feeling really stressed/down I take anywhere from 8-12 of them. Thanks to Robo Gels, taking any gelcap is now a really disgusting experience, but I always manage to choke them down.

The ones without the codeine are still nice, and used to be a drug of choice for me, but after the ones with codeine, they don't compare at all.

Wow, 12 of them. Wouldn't all that 480mg of Caffeine actually get you more stressed out ? Thats almost like 5 cups of coffee 8o

I never cared whether or not it contained codeine because I almost always had OxyContin during those days to compliment it. ;)
 
Believe it or not, caffeine has never really had a strong effect on me. I suppose for others it would make them feel pretty shitty, but it's never been a problem with me.
 
i used to take it to kick it up a notch on some hydrocodones( i know it was alot of APAP) back in the day

the combo was nice but once i started using other opioids i didnt enjoy mixing them with much of anything besides pot.

and to the poster above i too have never been affected much by caffine, as a matter of fact i believe, b/c of my ADHD, caffine kinda calms me down as well
 
I like fioricet. took a few one time before going to the batting cages. well that was difficult.

My friend told me he crushed it up and sprinkled it on weed and when he smoked he was hallucinating "hardcore". Doubt it though
 
Sorry, if I'm bumping this thread[ie; it's "too old"]

But....I highly enjoy Fiorcet, primairly during Opiate-w/d.
But other-wise... taking about 7 or 8 of them with Roxi's or high-doses of Morphine, I fucking love it.
They're far, far better then other avaible barbs these times; such as Phenobarbital, IMO.

I know this is years later for a response,
I have had severe migraines and seizure like migraines my entire life since I was 6 years old, i had a neurologist in Maine and they almost killed me twice with the drugs they put me on. I stopped going in high school when i went into a drug induced coma for almost two weeks because they were too stupid to research why the medications were not working. I am pregnant and have sever migraines but its mainly because i have sever brain damage and head and body trauma (would rather not get into that whole story) So the obgyn suggested Fiorcet and it works!!!!! I feel so loopy and not at all tired just a vicodin, percocet high like completely loopy and verrrrryyyyy spacey lol. I really enjoy them, i do not abuse them however I take two every 6 hours as prescribed and even the two give me that feeling that you get lol!! :D also i am the same way!!! And what's crazy is i get 90 every two weeks! I have never even heard of these until last week!!!
 
Fior and trams both do me the same way in I feel really happy and motivated on them. So no, you're not crazy, as our bodies and minds are different.
 
I take fiorcet. Problem is, I have no insurance for meds of any kind. Fiorcet went up in price from $12.00 to $95.00!!
