fioricet- antidepressant?

I dont know who out there has taken fioricet, but its for migraines. It doesnt really give you a narcotic high feeling, but to me it puts me in a good mood, but sleepy. It makes want to be happy no matter how bad of a day I had. I really take it more now on days that I feel blue, rather than days I have a migraine. It works for both, but i seem to be blue more than having migraines. ANyone else ever get this from fioricet?

Yeah.. Fioricet definantly has some mood lifting properties. But you'll develop a tolerance if you take them on a regular basis and you can't take more than about 10 at the most because they contain APAP which would come out to slightly over 3 grams.
I would just take them once in a while, maybe once a week at most if you're going to use them recreationally.

fioricet is butalbital (some have codeine) which is a barbituate and if taken on a normal basis would probably put you into depression rather than bring you out, be careful

yeah it definately wont work good on a regular basis
i would try and decrease my use as much as possible, that way it would still retain those "uplifting" effects, because at any rate, they disappear hella fast

Fioricet is most definitely NOT an antidepressant (as someone said, it could even induce depression) -- but since it contains butalbital, a barbituate that is similar in effect to benzos (but significantly weaker), it has (limited) recreational value for some people.
Personally, I find that on its own butalbital/fioricet does very little for me....but when combined with other, more recreational pharmaceuticals, it can be quite nice indeed. Fioricet w/codeine (called Fiorinal) is my prefered opiate/opiate combo (yep, over oxy, hydrocodone, heroin etc).

to each their own i suppose, but i am blown away
i have never tried heroin, but i have tried oxycodone and codeine, and I can honestly say that codeine was not even in the ballpark of being as good as oxy

fioricet is a barb it doesn't sedidat you that well because it has caffine in it,so when you feel yourself buzzed it goes awawy.supposedly caffine helps with migrains ,in my experience it doesn't

I get scrips for Fioricet. It does have mood-lifting properties. Unfortunately, to the poster who said that Fioricet with Codeine is called Fiorinal is incorrect. Fiorinal is Fioricet with Aspirin instead of APAP.
