Finley crushed Adderall xr powder vs ir form

First off let me start by saying I know dif pills use dif fillers but what im talking about has nothing to do with the fillers used in IR vs XR, JUST the amphetamine properties. I was crushing up an Xr the other day and my buddy says he refuses to use XR even if crushed up because it is not the same as IR when it comes to effectiveness in his opinion. Im under the impression that if you crush a 20mg xr and crush a 20mg ir, your going to have essentially the same thing, am I rite?

It is my understanding that the adderall "beads" contain some kind of polymer time release coat en-capsuling the racemic amphetamine sulfate. If this is actually the case then aside from (the things you wish to not discuss) I dont see how it would be different. That is to say except for the fact that (those things you dont want to talk about) create additional product and can coat the mucus membranes causing different absorption rates, which can effect the way it feels.

This is just my opinion and it is based on what I have seen in different types of adderall. I never noticed a difference personally but when you mix a different looking substance mixed with preconceived notions of what effects that will have you have an excellent mix for a strong placebo effect. It is possible that he really does believe and feel there is a difference. Again this is all based on what I have seen, I dont know of any studies that show the difference
