Fined £180 for half a gram of Mephedrone

sounds a bit much for a half g of meph. maybe he had past drug offences?

anyways hes not in jail so cant complain. if this was in the states the punishment would be much much worse!!!! :(

I feel for you man,

I think probably apart from the OTT fine and degrading strip search the worst thing is the fact that they didnt give you fuck all water all night, when they clearly knew you were on a stimulant/been drinking. doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out u would have been dehydrated!

I hate the police for shit like this. shame round here there number one priority seems to be 'kids with drugs', half the coppers from the SW would probably quit if they were thrown up north and told to deal with muggings, knife crime and rapes on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong I have upmost respect for any Police-Man. Police officers though, they can do one. It's not about handing out fines and locking people up for putting something in there own body. If you were stood on the corner with 10 seperate wraps in ya back pocket pushing it to kids I could understand, but just having a few lines worth of a little class b stimulant on a night out, well, fucking stuipd, again, I could understand if you were a right mess and clearly overdoing it, racking up lines on the table and stumbling around, but just sat with in ya pocket. Enrages me!

Wheres the human fucking rights! Its YOUR pocket, YOUR money you spend on it, YOUR health you may-or-may-not be degrading, what gives some other EQUAL human being the right to basically, rob and kidnapp you, starve you of neccesitys and then charge you near 2 ton for it. Cheers then.

cheers dude i can tell you have strong opinions on this subject, we share the same feeling about this, you pretty much banged it straight on the head about how i feel. violated of my human rights and freedom. what right do they have for punishing me. fucking outrage. put into context people do much worse things and get less of a punishment, it pickles my brain. common sense seems to fail massively in many areas of this system, backward laws, no wonder things are a mess. it'll take many many years but hopefully things will eventually change. feel sorry for future generations. many years ago i awoken to the fact society is fucked up and wrong in all kinds of ways, and this has just slapped reinforced it and slapped it around my face

Why not? Persecution of the harmless needs condemning at every turn - otherwise it continues. This is exactly the same as the persecution of homosexuals before it was legalised.

Police up north don't deal with that either - they'd much rather arrest a kid for meph too. Looks better on the arrest quota and it's a nice comfortable shift sat in the office making the paperwork stretch while the "captured" criminal sits in the cell.

Yeah man u know it, a very strong opinion, we are ALL free-men (or women,trannys,lady boys what have ya) and they have absolutely no right doing what they did! I'd love to start my own law enforcement corporation(cuz thats all they are, a profit running corporation) and start 'arresting' police officers for say, carrying pepper spray, using 'reasonable force' to floor and cuff them, tricking them with some language they think they understand and misenturpert (sp?), entrap them and then 'issue them a detention' in some shitty piss soaked cells and feeding them one shit polystyrene cup of fluridated tap water once every 3 hours, then finally telling them they owe me

Oh, I know, it's a double standard. They dress up and pretend to be a drug user, that's fine and dandy. You dress up as and pretend to be a police officer, and suddenly you're "committing an offence". Bollocks :p

It is exacty like that, in years to come maybe people will look back on the witch-hunts of drug users.

Did your friend get to pay a "victim surcharge" as well? This is more and more common with drug fines now, and it's completely bizarre as drug use has no victim. No more bizarre than the fact that drug use is illegal. Except it's not even that; certain drug use is illegal.
 
yea now you mention it i had to pay £80 surcharge if i recall. £15 was time being detained or something. crazy or what

Aye very good post, its like you just cant explain that to some people though they need there head checking. Something you are only doing to your self that is effecting no body but you, and no one ever has to know if they dont want to, but your not allowed to do that... jesus They do have some very strange laws, I got an £80 spot fine for caught pissing behind a load of bins down a side alley, what the fuck, there are no longer any public toilets so what do you expect me to do its human nature you curly wurly

i microwaved some jaffa cakes and custard creams the other day, it was wicked. took them apart and stuck them together to make a weird biscuit masterpiece. might have to try wrapping some jammie dodgers and jaffa cakes up, get the toaster sideways, heat them up for a lil bit. take them apart and make some amazing tastey Frankenstein biscuits. the biscuit surgeon
