Finding your father's mushrooms.

So I was looking around in my dad's room for something that I had placed in there, when I was looking through some papers and I saw a sack that was wrapped up and pretty much as soon as I saw it I could tell that it was a bag of mushrooms. Only about 1.5 grams. This totally caught me off guard because there is no way in a million years that I would guess my dad could be using psychedelics. It's also pretty cool lol. I don't know whether they are his or if someone had put them in there but that is not too big of a possibility.

What would you think if you were in a situation such as this?

Yes, he can. I think that if any of us were the father in this situation we would get upset about our child stealing from us. Regardless of the item stolen, stealing is wrong and shows blatant disrespect. Kids who wanted to be treated as adults/young adults/adolescents shouldn't make decisions that illustrate poor judgment and give their parents a reason to restrict their freedom.

On the other hand, parents shouldn't leave any type of psychoactives in the open where a child might have access. Leave the shrooms alone but tell your dad to get a safe for his stash.

Yeah, definitely don't take them (though I don't think you were suggesting it). But yeah, that would trip me out for sure if it was my dad. I don't know, but does he know you use drugs? I mean if you guys are pretty open with each other in general you could probably bring it up and see what he says. Maybe you could end up having something to bond over. It's always cool to grow up and start to have a friendship with your parents that isn't parent-to-child.

I would love it if my parents would want to trip with me sometime. I doubt it's in the cards though, but never say never, right?

It would be pretty neat if my dad was on psychedelics. He's told me stories about taking LSD in the 70s. Like he was telling me about how he and his friend each took a tab and put the rest of the strip into a cigarette pack then spent the rest of the night looking for the cigarette pack :D

I showed him the progress of my little mushroom farm last year but he didnt partake with me.

One time, my bed was a mattress on the floor directly in front of my bedroom door, and I lived with my father. He opened the door one day to surprise me while I had piles of shrooms all over the bed, in my lap, and a postal scale that I was weighing 8ths out with. I was like and just got up, grabbed a few grams of shrooms, placed them in his palm and folded his fist up, and he shut up and left me alone.

He never ended up tripping off the shrooms though; he must have a high natural tolerance. He thinks DMT kind of sucks; it's too weak in comparison to 5-MeO-DMT.

but really, i was caught off guard finding some of my dads condoms... pretty embarrasing really. but if you think about it, dads are people too eh, once they were like us, and we ll be like them someday. perhaps my kids will find something interesting under my bed...

personally id take it as an invitation to start a conversation on the subject... maybe the old dog can teach the pup a thing or two
