Finding shrooms is hard work.

I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland and i've been shroom hunting about 4 times over the past couple of weeks, and never found a single liberty cap. I've checked Cave hill (a large area near Belfast which is supposed to be covered in mushrooms), a golf course near that, many park areas etc. There are fields near my house but they are fenced off by large barbed wire gates and sneaking in doesn't appeal to me. What sort of area is generally the best to find them?

As in, I assume you can still find caps in non-animal occupied fields or areas?

Yes you can find mushrooms in non-animal fields.

Sometimes you just need to get your mushroom goggles on. Liberty caps can be very difficult t osee. If the grass is long then you need to really get down close to the ground. You'' find that when you find a few they will get easier and easier to spot.

Yeah. I believe I will find them, but i'll probably have to journey outside the city somewhat cos it's very industrialised.
