Hello all!
I was introduced to this site by a colleague when I began my new position as a Harm Reduction Counselor to learn more about heroin use. It's the one drug I'm not very familiar with, and this site has given me some amazing information that has helped me connect with our participants.
I'm not a current drug user although I have been close with people who had addictions to cocaine/crack, prescription pills and meth (none of which were injecting to my knowledge). Vein care is a huge concern and topic of interest (as well as minimizing transmission of STIs), but I'd really like to learn more about what other issues or topics of concern are out there not related to getting into treatment or legal matters. I don't want my position to be solely about vein care, so I suppose you could say I'm trying to find my niche, and give our participants some kind of support they haven't had yet. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
