lmao....i LO000000ve pennywise =D
I read the Stephen King book way before i saw the movie.....both almost made me pee my pants!!!

Theres an old BBC movie called 'Threads' about nuclear war. I watched it when I was about 8 and didnt sleep for about a month after

I think I'm the only person alive that didn't see IT until sometime in the last year. Consequently, I thought it sucked.

I remember Event Horizon scaring the shit out of me, though. Probably because I watched it alone in a basement at 2 am years ago.

^^^ heh. i rewatched it recently (loved it as a kid) and have to agree. my god, the clown was so much scarier as a *clown* - the monster stuff was just terrible, and john ritter - as head of the cast - was almost as bad :)

ahhhhh pennywise...=D
IT was a nice flick....it entertained and scared me in equal measure ....oh and i also found Pet Sematary 1 to be one of stephen kings best film adaptations .
CARRIE is one of my favorites too... Brian de palma did a fuckin good job ....definitely a classic .
Does anyone remember wes Cravens movie FUNHOUSE? With that scary fat white fortune teller, and all these freaks. Man i loved that movie. lol

i need to watch IT again, cause i saw it at a sixth grade sleep over party, and all we could do (as sugared up twelve and thirteen year old girls) was laugh at the parts we paid attention to. so i wrote down all the movies everyone suggessted, and blockbuster didnt even have Event Horizon. i was very dissappointed. but i did rent and watch a movie called "Dragonfly" and it wasnt scary, but more interesting, and a little creepy, but it was that type of movie that does the old "im gonna jump out at you to scare you". oh yeah, "Fallen" was pretty good too, but still on the endless search for a movie store that has any japanese or italian horror films.

I am rarely scared by movies, but, occasionally, as with House of a Thousand Corpses, I am disturbed, simply by the disgustingness of it, not of the frightening elements like with a film like the Ring. Umm, the one about that website that kills people (somewhat of a Ring knock-off) feardotcom was not too bad

i rented session 9 along with Godsend, and both were pretty weird. almost similar though, how they both sort of just....end. i guess thats the point of scary movies..no happy ending..just no ending at all.

Someone should make a 3D scary movie

Actually, 3D horror movies were made all the time in the early 80's. Back then VHS VCR's didn't exist. And hardly anyone owned a beta.
These days the movie theater business has lost a lot of money since the DVD and p2p networks have come out. Plus, you have to think about the investment costs of the "New" 3-D goggles that are out on the market.
Those flimsy cellophane ones have become obsolete!

I don't mean to double post but I wanted to give Meesh some ideas.

Have you checked out FINAL DESTINATION 1 or 2???

i saw them both...and its one of the few instances where i thought the second was better than the first. the other example is "cube" one and two. the second had more effects, but the first was pretty classic...although they had the same story line...i guess the same as final destination one and two...
