films: Recommend a movie from another country! (Non english speakin plz)

karina1.jpg

Split up into 12 chapters chronicling a Parisian woman's descent into prostitution...this film has mesmerized me. Definitely a movie to be savoured.

Black Cat White Cat.
awesome
and best cocaine stash ever

Lost in Translation is in English.
yes, and it was horrible
oh, poor little girl, so bored in one of the most interesting cities in the world
you'd be so much better in your LA suburb with nothing but wallmarts around

film made by westerners without an ounce of openess towards other cultures... for westerners without an ounce of openess towards other cultures

a film about being bored in tokyo 8)
next one will be a film about being dry in the ocean

oh yes, recommandations
chinese : hero - house of flying daggers
hong kong : kung fu hustle - the whole jackie chan collection
korean : old boy
french : hate - un air de famille
thai : ong bak (1) - chocolate - the 4 minutes fight scene in tom yum kung ("the protector" i think)

haven't seen that many non english speaking movies actually
need to think about it more or start working on my general culture

gegen_die_wand.jpg

english title is "head-on" about a suicidal girl who meets another depressed patient at this hospital and she convinces him to a fake marriage so she doesn't have to live by her families strict rules...

at first i thought it wasn't gonna be good but after they start living together and the drama, jealousy, murder unfolds it turned out to be pretty good.

the actress who played sibel, real name sibel kekilli was like her character in real life in more ways than one. good gosh o' molly she is fine. its german/turkish

Which is why, in other threads, no one takes you or your film recommendations / arguments seriously. ;)

^^ you're a joke
a joke who takes himself for a serious story

we're not on the same wave at all
when i said that i hadn't seen many non english speaking movies, it was quite relative

i wouldn't be surprised if i had seen more than you (and i never had tv), but i keep in mind that there are hundreds of languages used in movies, not 3, 4 or 10

just checking this page, what do i see?
"Spanish Apartment". a french film about europeans in barcelona

as a matter of fact, when it came out, i was a french person living in an apartment in barcelona.
with only one other european. the other ones were south americans
(i didn't like the film that much)

calle escudellers blancs (a street name) where he visits the first apartment was the next street parralel to mine

what are the people in the movie? danish. yes i've seen danish movies. spanish. guess what. italian. guess what. german . yes. french. well...
the follow up of this movie is in saint petersbourg. guess what

tunisian, vietnamese, mongolian, argentinian, romanian, korean, chinese, cantonese, brazilian, thai, russian, japanese, indian, palestinian, etc. yes, those are films in different languages
but i didn't brag about them because seeing just a few is very short of appreciating the cinematography of the country. thus my "i haven't seen that many films"

spade
you have a loser's attitude
you're not here to comment movies but to criticize people
because you prefer that

you're not looking for intelligent exchanges, but for people with different opinions than yours so that you can shout at them and put them on your black list

how old are you?
what was your old moniker?
and go buy a life at wallmart

13 Tzameti is excellent and I recommend you all watch it without knowing anything about it first. Otherwise it's not as good. :)

2 very good movies from french actor Jean Dujardin

The first one is a james bond parody, but it has style, very good comedy

The 2nd one is a satire about the world of marketing, remarkable
