I was thinking of some movies that, while I watched them, made me want to either live within the scenery or be the main character...I guess most movies can do this, but maybe you'll get the idea when I list some of mine.

Goodfellas-Makes me want to be a gangster!
Boiler Room-WARNING! Career-changing movie.
Waterworld-The boats, the gadgets, the novelty...
 
um... movies i'd like to step into:

the black and white part of pleasantville.
the last of the mohicans- i'd take nathaniel's place...
titus - julie taymor needs to re-design my world...
 
What was that movie with Robin Williams and like his wife dies and he goes into some crazy world that is really cool in parts =o. I want to be there!
 
wow! that a really hard one since i watch so many movie but i think the ones i wouldn't mind being in are........

Shimmer.Fade, I think you're talkin about What Dreams May Come. The scenery in that movie was pretty crazy. The gates of hell and the big paint field or whatever were my favorites.
 
I agree about Boiler Room. When I am having a bad week I put that on for a pump u up to get threw it. Yet another movie were affleck has amazing lines! "We want winners here not Pikers!"

DAZED & CONFUSED is one movie I have always loved and soooooooo just wanted to climb into the TV and be hangin out with Pink,wooderson and O'banyon. Maybe even fuck Joey Lauren Adams character............

Good call on Woodstock - would've loved to have been there too. But then again, that was a real event...

I'd have loved to have been in Diner. I bet growing up in Baltimore in the 50's wasn't that cool, but Mickey Rourke and the boys in that movie sure make it seem like fun.

Also, the New York of New York, New York . To have been there on the jazz scene after WWII would been the biz, especially with a young Liza Minelli in tow.

Big Wednesday. Yeah, I'd have loved to have been a surfer with those guys on the Cali beaches in the 60's too!
 
Like already been said, Lord Of The Rings, I would be content to spend the rest of my days living in the shire drinking ale and smoking pipe weed:D

for me it would be Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
the bamboo forests, the temple that was up in the mountainside at the end, it's just so beautiful. Not to mention the beautiful asian women.=D
the Matrix would be a close second.
