Does anybody know any films with a bipolar character in it? Preferably from the 1980's and up? What i'm looking for is not really a film about the disorder, but a film with a character who is afflicted with it. How about books?

I think Cathy Bates character in Misery looks like she has Bipolar disorder. Not sure if that is what it was meant to be or if she is just meant to look crazy though.

Does "bipolar" mean "double personality"?
If so you have to watch this movie:
"psycho beach party"
it's in no way a realistic or scientific movie about double personality, it's just a mad movie with the main character having 2 different personalities. It's very fun, completely creazy and quite kitsch.

bipolar is a mental illness formally called manic-depression... where the afflicted go thru cycles of euphoric highs and crashing lows...
