I have a friend who loves sci-fi... star trek, matrix.. you name it..
anyways.. anytime something "emotional" or "thought provoking" pops into a film... he gets all squeamish. He feels Revolutions is the best of the series and i just don't get it.
From high tech metaphors (smith- virus) , sci-fi, kung fu, love story, philisophical, action flick..which turned into an epic saga war throughout the 3 movies.. what more could you ask for. This is star wars...but more intelligent.
I personally love all 3 and think each one offers something unique.. but the 1st was definate the most well rounded.. and touched on each of it's incorporated genres very nicely. The other 2.. the balance is off quite a bit.
Frankly.. i think the original is quite powerful after reading "Matrix and Philosophy: Welcome to the Desert of the Real". But.. i'll have to check out some other books on it as mentioned above.
