Apparently this is still in post production, but I must say I'm quite excited by the thought of this :D

I'm looking forward to this one and hope that they don't mess it up. Where The Wild Things Are was one of my favorite books growing up. It has both a great cast and director. I've got my fingers crossed.

I don't know if there is enough material for a full length movie. I recall seeing a musical adaptation (possibly an opera?) of this as a kid. Well, I don't actually remember seeing it, just that is sucked.

when the Wild Rumpus starts, it's gonna be phat as phuck. i just know it =D

thats like a 10 page book. there gonna have to take alot of liberty

I loved that book. I was talking to some of my buddies in LA - most the post production work is supposed to happen in Australia. So none of them new much about it other than there was a test screening in Pasedena in december sometime. Said that apparently there was a lot of stuff that wasn't finished - so must have been a test on the story line or something that they didn't like.

I thought it was coming out october of this year - but everything I see says 2009 now. Being moved to october from may is not a good thing. So if it is getting moved to like Jan 09 that might be a good sign.

sneak peeks and so on.
also we do not like threads to go without polls.

this is so exciting. sendak has a mean, dark streak.
i suggest looking up his other (newer) books, such as mommy? (a freaking pop up book! this man is awesome.)

Oh my God. I don't think I could be more excited about a film. I just saw the trailer, and I am just about jumping out of my skin.

Is anyone else looking forward to this as much as me?!! :)

i read about this only yesterday; and the trailer you posted has intrigued me even more.

i loved this book as a child. still do now.
