For those of you confused (like I was yesterday until my friend with me let me in) The Twilight was described to me as "the biggest tween/teen book since Harry Potter". So I guess them making a movie is sorta like a weaker sauce reaction to when the first Harry Potter film came out in theaters.

my girlfriend does wardrobe and worked on that one. said the females, mostly moms and daughters were going crazy stalking the guy who plays the lead.

it is a very popular series and i loved it, can't wait to see the movie. it is by no means a quality film but was a great story, easy and entertaining.
 
my co-teacher is obsessed with the books. she and another teacher drove 3 hours to forks, WA (where the books/movie take place) for bella's (the main vampire) birthday celebration. they also got all dressed up for the midnight premier on thursday night.

I've been waiting for this movie to come for months and I finally watched it Sunday night... it was everything I dreamed it would be and more!

A lot of people on my writers forums knock these books, say they suck and what not. I've never read them.

I love vampires. I'd be down to see this. It's not a priority though. It appears to me to be an entertaining, yet average, teen film.
 
Not to mention that there were plenty of naysayers when the first Harry Potter movie came out. I had no interest in seeing it at first, but I did and loved it. I've even read most of the books.

Don't judge a book by the movie in which it's covered.
