I couldn't find a link to this.
I just saw this film last night and I really loved it. I can't give a link to the movie but it stars Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, Topher Grace, Benicio Del Toro, and Ericka Christensen.
A really exciting movie that shows the many elements of the drug world. From the huge cartels from Mexico, to the effect it has on people ranging from lower class ghetto neighborhoods to rich white suburbia.
The movie struck a personal note with me as Michael Douglas' daughter and her group of friends reminded me a lot of my group of friends I had when I was a senior in HS in 2001.
Anyone else like this movie?
I thought Michael Douglas' quote around the end of the film summed up the War On Drugs pretty good. He said something (don't have exact quote)like:
The War on Drugs...that term is a joke. To say it's a war on drugs, is to say we are waging war on our own loved ones and family members. So true. So true.
This got a lot of Academy Awards, and I think deservedly so. Douglas was great in this movie as well as Del Toro. Ericka Christenson was really good as Douglas' drug addict daughter.
