Based on the book by Jeffrey Eugenides and directed by Sofia Coppola. I really liked this film. It was rather surreal. The acting (James Woods, Kathleen Turner, Kirsten Dunst, Josh Hartnett) was really believable. I can't believe this one hasn't been discussed yet. Let me know your thoughts!!!

film: the virgin suicides

i dont know why there isnt a thread for this film either.

i liked the slow pace, the laggish camera movements, and best of all the soundtrack to this.

the soundtrack was great. it was done by Air.

I love this film too. But for some reason, I've only ever seen it a handful of times. I think it might be due to the fact that the very idea of watching it has always been a slightly depressing thought to me. But having said that, I always seem to forget how hilarious this film is too. The humour is very subtle, but is one of the things I enjoy most about it. One of my favourite funny scenes is where Lux is forced to burn all her records. =D

Of all the Coppola films, Lost In Translation is my favourite, with Marie Antoinette sinking into third place. :|

Love it.....love it so much. Slow, tantalizing, dreamy, sad. This is a perfect example of a fantastic book AND movie. The book is such a delicious read I don't ever want it to end.
