Have any comic book fans checked this movie out yet? Nothing really makes me want to go see this movie based on the trailers I've seen - with the exception of Rebecca Romijn-Stamos ;) It's gotten awful, awful reviews; here at rottentomatoes.com, and here at metacritic.com.

Despite the horrible reviews, I just keep hoping it would've been a blockbuster.
Someone convince me!

here's a decent review

its probably not half as bad as the critics say, most of the user comments on imdb.com have been positive ones. thomas jane as todd parker in boogie nights was one of the best performances of the last decade, so i guess ill go check it out.

there's already a punisher movie, it's an 18 starring dolph lundgren and it's boody insane.....well lworth seeing..kiling, brains....killing......big gunz.......dolph naked in a sewer.....hmmmmmm

I always prefered the comic characters who were less God-like. Batman was the illest comic character ever and he didn't have a superpower. The only difference between him and the Punisher is a finer sense of morality.

The Punisher was a decent comic. He was like halfway between good and evil. He'd battle the Kingpin one day and be fighting Spiderman the next.

deadpool was the sickest comic ever, i still have his solo 4 issue debut, mint bitch! and i dont even collect comics...

I did the street promotion for this movie, its generated alot of buzz but i made the mistake of going to see kill bill 2 instead of this. with that waste of money im afraid to set foot in the movie theater again. anyone see it?

the fact that your sister went to see the movie before you should tell me not to go ;)

I saw it yesterday...

Some of it was a little cheesy, but overall it was a good flick. I'd see it again.

The "origin" was a little off, but was still in line of where the Punisher came from. The lead acting was decent, I think that Thomas Jane was believable as Frank Castle. Travolta was a great bad guy as always. Rebecca Romijn-Stamos was great window dressing... and almost acted. The chump neighbor squad were a little goofy, but were bearable.

I saw it today.
I would give it a C.
The first thing that annoyed me was (my boyfriend pointed it out) they changed the story a LOT from the comic book. They changed SOOO much..
I thought it was just sort of..weak. I wasn't moved in the way I had expected to be..acting was..decent I guess. Not spectacular. I was entertained the entire way through..but not..enthralled.
IMO, the most interesting part in the entire movie is the plan the Punisher comes up with to make his enemy not only kill his BEST friend but also his own WIFE.

I'd see it again, but not in the theaters..

I'm going to have to repeat my opinion that there has been no such thing as a good super hero movie. The best out of the bunch IMO was X-men.

I actually thought spiderman was a great movie....have you seen the trailers for the new one? it looks amazing.
