This movie is a rare example of a film that was BETTER than the book (though technically speaking the movie wasn't very good either).

i accidentally rented this. for some reason, i thought it was about something else, and didn't realize it was a chick flick. it was very beautifully done. very very sad, though. not something to watch alone.

The Notebook is a great movie! It has its corny parts and is pretty predictable, but its such a cute story

I went to see this move with my ex. It so resembled the situation with the two of us (in a way). Dammit I hate thinking about the good times we had....makes me wanna call him again.
Very good movie overall....cute. I voted 4 stars.

^ that IS sweet, they are two of the best and coolest up and comers in america at the moment i think

rachel mcadams is a fucking talented actress, she can do both serious roles or comedic roles with grace.

i loved the notebook, as though the overall romance plot was pretty corny, the genre requires it, and dialogue wise, i actually thought it was very realistic - i thought it shied away from a lot of the token glossing over of the love at first sight type movies, and actually had a bit of guts and grit to it.

i was impressed with the performances of both the leads...their on-screen chemistry (now we know why ) and their talent i thought was fantastic

it was just too damn cute, sappy and wonderful not to like. i liked it so much in fact i made someone else watch it with me the next day. and he cried.
and it is sweet just because many of us all yearn for a love like that in the end. a love that keeps going all throughout life, that overcomes so much and a love that will change your diapers right up until you die.

but seriously as predictable and corny as the ending was it got me and got me good. i want that!
so i will suck it up- i refuse to see titanic and i doubt i would like it from everything i hear... but the notebook i will admit to seriously enjoying.

Oh yeah, The Notebook was much much better than Titanic (a movie which I vomitted during because of eating undercooked meat beforehand but I still think the film had something do with).

Im not really one for romance.. I dont like love stories very much... and I dont have a history of watching movies like this.


But this was one of the best movies ive seen this year. Absolutely fucking awesome

It was cliche and predictable... but a beautifully told and emotionally moving story nonetheless. I loved it.

And i refuse to see the Titanic simply b/c i hate Celine Dion.

So so very true. Also u know whats funny.....I caught this flick on my local Cinemax cable channel the other day as it was ending...and they totally cut out the part where they are seen lying (spoiler-->: dead) in each others arms at the end! I mean they show it, but they omit the part where the nurse finds them so its as if they were just sleeping forever. WTF was that? It totally felt incomplete and left hanging (thank God I saw it many times on VCD !)
