The Jacket

If you haven't seen the JAcket yet, I highly recommend seeing it. If you like the whole Butterfly Effect/ Manchurian Candidate type movie that constantly fucks w/your head, get out and see this. It's by far the best time traveling-mind warping whatever you wanna call it type movie.

this is one of the best movies i've seen in a long time--- definitely creeps into my last of favorite movies...

adrien brody is such an awesome actor... great story line too...

I heard Keira Knightly had to get pretty drunk to do her love scene with adrien brody...

This movie was aight except for the complete lack of explaination or scientific theory that went into the time travel...

/me locks himself in a straight jacket and jumps in his closet, goes back in time to stop this moving getting made.

I think the lack of info is kinda what's good about it. And besides, it's not really the point of it either. And I don't think he really time travels, he just thinks he is. Or maybe he really is, damn! That IS confusing!!!

watched this movie 2 days ago for the first time. i enjoyed it, but there were a lot of plot holes!! the overall mood of the film is what i enjoyed the most, and the cabinet scenes were creepy. i'd give it a 6/10

I didn't like the first 1/2 hour or so of the movie, but it picked up after that. I gave it 3 out of 4 stars.

I just finished watching this movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. Much better than The Butterfly Effect and every bit as good as Twelve Monkeys.

Keira Knightly's performance was horrible. She almost ruined the movie for me. It was still good though.

better than The Butterfly Effect yes... better than 12 Monkeys no way. I mean it's Terry Gilliam. its all a matter of opinion.

I said "just as good as," not "better." Nothing can top the time-travelling mindfuck that is Twelve Monkeys.

:)

Word!! :) guess the buzz carried over from last nite and i missed the wording. Between the two though I would have to pick 12. %)

Seriously, did it not creep anybody else out at all that Adrian Brody's character so quickly entered a sexual relationship with the person he only really knew as a child and a fucked up adult? I just thought that whole thing was disturbing...

So I was thinking about renting this but I'm wondering if it's scary or just suspenseful or....? Let's hear some reviews! :D

I am a huge Adrien Brody fan.

Loved this movie - it was no different.

"Love The Hard way" with Adrien Brody is my fav, but this is 2nd on the list.

Great concept - great movie.

4 stars - hands down.

Keira Knightly did a hell of a job, whoever said she was horrible is on crack.

I knda thought it was fucked up also that he fucked a messed up Jackie, who he originally knew as a kid, but hey, Keira is hot! And they did kinda share a bond together.

**************some spoilers***************

The vague story was carried completely by Brody. He's the only reason I gave half a damn about what was going to happen. I was semi satisfied until the weak arsed ending.

The mysterious and ominous death everyone avoids to talk about is simply him slipping on ice and hitting his own head on the ground???! WEAK! On top of that, a DOCTOR and some NURSES all decide to enthusiastically grant his wish to be drugged and locked up in a cold storage draw despite the fact that his head is pissing out blood. They could've bandaged him in 2 minutes! Whats the rush? He was traveling into the fucking future!

Keira Knightly was terrible. The sooner she's away from cameras the better. Thank god the sex scene was edited down. The last thing i want to see is her boney arse.

It tries to be Jacob's Ladder (freeaky, smart, serious) but turns into Butterfly Effect or Donnie Darko (light commercial kid's fluff).

This movie reminded me a lot of 12 monkeys. And IMO the plot holes aren't big enough to make you shy away from being entertained for an hour and a half. I gave it 2 stars.
