i remember thoroughly enjoying this australian crime drama/thriller/comedy. the characters are well developed. the dialogue blew my mind when watching on psychedelics. the acting is sweet and it ends really well. some compare this to tarantino in it's style.

i really look forward to seeing this again soon, and i hope the writer/director continues making film.

there's a homeless guy in sydney that always reminds me of guy pearce in this film. he looks just like him.

Dale: a smooth talker who should have been a ventriloquist, as his lips never move when he talks. Reminds me of Ironman.

The plot: a heist, or a series of heists and speedy chases through the streets of Melbourne, perilously weaving in and out of traffic... on foot. Add some impromptu nipples, and we have an Aussie version of The Italian Job.

It was a fun watch simply for the novelty factor of being an Australian film. The plot... I don't know why they even bothered with a plot. I would have preferred they made it at least a bit more realistic.

I mean come on! Seriously! The biggest heist of the century and they are simply dropped into the act a couple of hours before it's all about to go down, without any prior planning whatsoever and are supposed to pull it off without a hitch just from a one time instruction of what they're supposed to do? Really now!

just saw it again. four stars by me.

they could have expanded a few plot elements and shortened some others. i'm not as critical as SA is. the realism is pretty consistent imo.

i reckon all the plans were complete and thought out by the crooked lawyer. these three fellas are just good at executing well established plans. even the heist they're about to do in the end. the chick could've spilled the beans to dale.

the dialogue is still a BLAST! i really dig that nicely circular yet not too predictable shit.

and very, VERY fuckin australian :D
