Film: The Hamiltons

Just got finished watching this "horror" movie and I enjoyed it for the most part.

The Hamiltons are a family with three brothers and a sister. Recently their parents died so they're on their own. Pretty quickly it becomes apparent that there is something else going on, but the movie leads you to make incorrect assumptions about exactly what it is for almost the whole movie, mostly with regard to small things like the family dynamics (which turn out to be more layered than early parts will lead people to believe) and the motives behind their crimes.

The characters are all good and all believable. Very little wrong with this movie, except maybe it moved a bit slow. It must have taken guts to really try to bring this idea to the big screen, as it's pretty unconventional for a horror flick.

This was the only one of last years Horrorfest movies I actually thought was a decent movie. I liked it. Well done. The other horrorfest movies were a joke, stupid, badly done and not scary at all.

I dont even know if Id really classify this as a horror movie. Its more of a gross/weird drama.

yeah, this and Dark Ride were really the only films i liked from that year. nice little modern day suburban vampire story. did anyone else think the sister was kinda hot?

Is this the movie with the family of kids who are like vampires or kill people? If so it was low budget but it was certainly enjoyable to an extent. except the let down of it being a little kid in the basement who was this bad ass monster and he came out and was normal.

Yeah, I didnt like that either. I wanted him to be deformed or scary looking or something.

the sister played Harmony in a little movie called Groove. i'm sure some of you may have heard of it :D
