While hunting down bootleg kung-fu DVDs in a Chinatown pawnshop, Jason makes an extraordinary discovery that sends him hurtling back in time to ancient China. There, Jason is charged with a monumental task: he must free the fabled warrior the Monkey King, who has been imprisoned by the evil Jade Warlord. Jason is joined in his quest by wise kung fu master Lu Yan and a band of misfit warriors including Silent Monk. But only by learning the true precepts of kung fu can Jason hope to succeed - and find a way to get back home.

This film sucked. I enjoy Jackie most of the time but this was horrible. SUCKED ASS!

OK...this movie sucked! I never really liked Jackie but I gave it a shot cause Jet Li was in it. It still sucked.

i love jackie chan
but he's been so productive that it's hard to overdo himself now
it's hard for him, and it's hard for anyone else

in most martial art movies you'll find moves that he invented 20 years ago

he's a genius, but after tens and tens of movies, it doesn't bring the same freshness

the movie was intertaining
and the girls were beautiful

It can't be as bad as Jet Li's The One. Just thinking about the surfer version of him in that sh!t pic makes me laugh.

it was an ok movie, i enjoyed the action but didnt pay any attention to the story

i heartedly enjoyed it. cheese galore but the choreography by woo ping, drunken jackie chan and a jet li monkey king both steal after my own heart.

silly film but freakin sweet nonetheless! :D

I gave it a second try today and finally finished it. After watching the first half a couple of weeks ago, I had to put it down for a while. The plot was very difficult to get interested in -- I recommend having beer on hand to help sit through it. But the monkey king and the 2 teachers were funny and it had some other good points too. It's not he best of its kind, but it's not the worst either.
