This film was a pile of crap.
I'm sorry but Americans + Japanese car racing = shit.
The Japanese know how to drift and make good drift movies, the Americans do not. You cannot Americanise this sport without taking away its Japanese charm. I'd rather watch (and have) entire drift movies in Japanese without English subtitles then be put through a 'Too Crap Too Lame' sequel again.
Yeah I'm a Japanese HiPo car lover and movies like this are just offensive and should've been aborted before being conceieved.
However they appeal to the drones of people who will probably enjoy this movie for what it is: glorified misunderstood American scripting.
If anybody here is actually interested in what drift racing is all about start with Initial D and "The Drift Bible". The latter gives you a good overview on drifting techniques and is very interested for the half car buff. The former is a great anime series that has a lot of depth to it beyond just cars.
