lol!
i've prepared for that possibility with a clever "watching mah stories" setting on teh machine. :D

Just a small notice, in Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne calls his party guests two faced. In The Dark Knight when he asks Lucius about his new costume's ability to withstand dog attacks, Lucius replies that it could work against a cat.

oh and another clever funny, when lucius introduces the sonar tech, wayne ID's it as "Sonar, yeah just like a...." (implying bat) but then Lucius cuts in "Submarine, that's right."

i like clever writing

I saw it again the other day and had another Joker dream. It was so awesome, IMDO (in my own dreaming opinion) and I'm not making this up.

The Joker is in a room filled with various bad guys. He's basically asking them who's with him? One guy stands up and tells The Joker, "I'm out of here! I'm not taking orders from some freak who likes to wear his mommy's make-up!"

He walks towards the door where the Joker is standing. The Joker extends his hand and sort of does a bowing gesture. "I understand.", The Joker tells him. "Believe me, I do."

The man takes The Joker's hand and begins to shake it. "If you absolutely have to go............." The Joker's grip tightens up and he pulls the man closer to him, both hands shaking with tension. "Then go.........with........a.....smile!"

With that, The Joker slashes the man's mouth with one quick swipe. Then, he stabs the screaming man's eyes out one by one. When the guy fell to the floor, his face looked like a bloodied version of the Have A Nice Day face.

That's pretty much when I woke up. I know this sounds like fanfare, but it's not. It was and still is so vivid. The only reason I'm even mentioning it is because after thinking about it, I thought it would have served as an homage to Tim Burton's Batman if it had been in the movie. Besides, "This town needs an enema!" , "If you've gotta go, then go with a smile!" is one of my favorite lines from that movie.

Enough of my psychobabble. I will say that I can't wait to see what Chris Nolan does next. He really is one of the greater directors in Hollywood today.

god this movie was so kickass. heath ledger's acting was impeccable. i love his rendition of the joker, and the dark twist that he put on the character. i wasnt too into the story of batman before i saw it, but this movie has me hooked now.

definitely 5 stars, as I wasn't expecting much going into this movie, and came out blown away.

i'm tempted to see it at imax again

it's only ten bucks, and the cinema is practically next door to my place.

I went and seen it again at the imax and it was definitely are worthwhile experience. Even though it was a total fucking sell out and a packed house, still enjoyed it.

The sound levels got a little overwhelming at times

I wanted to write a review on this, but I went to see it at IMAX. The result was that I must have missed at least 70% of the film. I couldn't see what was happening in most scenes.

I'll have to wait to see it again.

I think I still prefer Batman Begins. Trouble is, a film like TDK is destined to be overshadowed by Batman Begins. The first installment of any superhero movie should be the best... because it gives us the opportunity to indulge ourselves in the mythical history of the character.

Anyhoos, it was good. Heath Ledger was good, but I certainly don't 'get' the Oscar-worthy element.

Visual field. Simply couldn't "see" what the fuck was going on. Shit seats on the right of row, third row from the front.

No idea what happened in ANY fight scene. The one with his goggles on... no recollection of anything that happened in that scene. It was just a flurry of light.

Any of the quick moving scenes (of which there are a lot) were impossible to watch and I ended up getting a headache. Bit of a disappointment to be honest. I got the general storyline, but I could probably watch it again and not recognise many of the scenes.

Oh... and surprise, surprise... the Sydney IMAX is by far superior to the one in Bradford. :D

ah man, tambo, you know better than to risk shitty seats. watch it again, even on a standard screen.

speaking of which, the newly renovated cinemas on george street are unbelievably good. that's where i saw tdk the first time.

Third row from the front on the right, man thats fucked up. Now that you bring it up, when I was leaving the Sydney IAMX I walked past some people who sounded pretty damn pissed at being close to the front.

I headed straight for the back and even up there some of the scenes where a little visualy over whelming

You guys are lucky. The closest IMAX is 300 miles from me and it only plays Life Of A Humpback Whale and similar shite.

That is mostly what we have at ours 80% of the time.

Every now and then you get some rare treats like 300 and TDK

I LOL'd! =D

i saw this again a few nights ago. its a great film. once again i think some of the end could have been edited down a little better, but i'm sure they were really wanting that symbolism at the end to hit home.

i'll say it again, heath left me wanting so much more of that character. cryin shame.
