The Crow sequels were much better than that original, low-budget trashcan of a film. Better graphics, better everything. Check this out:

lol @ "graphics"

the original was pretty sweet. although my pallet was soured when James O'Barr did a no show at a comic convention I attended way back then.

Sadly i met Brandon Lee just a few days before he died. Well, i didn't meet him per say. I was working at a chain video store and he came in to rent some video's. I guess he was on a break from filming.

You know what's so strange about this experience. When he came into my line-- my register line. He had a long black trench coat on and the skin on his face was so fresh and smooth and pale. He wasn't pale because he was sick or anything, it was because of his black trench coat, it just made his skin more pale and i swear to god, this is the thought that came into my head.. "He looks like an angel" At the time i thought nothing of it. And actually right after he died i didn't even remember thinking that. It was a few days after he died that i remembered thinking that and i was like SHIT omg!!! I'm not saying this was a premonition, no, it wasn't a premonition, but it was an odd thing.

dude! that's a pretty fucked up /sweet-as-hell story!

if i were you, i'd be telling that shit to everybody. :)

I think that stylistically speaking this was one of the best movies of the 90s in that it captured that whole angsty, grungy aesthetic superbly.

I loved it when I was a teenager. Not so much now, as it it comes across as a little too histrionic, but I can still admire the look of the film & Brandon Lee certainly had charisma by the bucketful in this movie.

No doubt it's success was helped in a macabre way by his death but if anything I don't think it's praised enough. Was nice to see Alex Proyas take the idea further with Dark City though, which is one of my favourite movies ever.

To me it feels very much like a Canadian made B movie in terms of it's vibe, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the piss out of it every time I see it.

Fire it up! Fire it up! Fire it up!!!

This is an old thread, but I'm resurrecting it because this movie is fucking great. It pretty much summed up everything everyone felt at age 14: misunderstood and invincible. Best scene? Giant shootout while My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult is playing.

I only watched this for the first time a year or so ago and really enjoyed it. It's not an amazing story or anything, but it's amazing stylistically, they just nail the dark and slightly tragic atmosphere.

And yes, the soundtrack is awesome. I have a bit of a thing for movie soundtracks, and The Crow is definitely in my top 3, that opening track by The Cure is mindblowing.

i think i saw this in a drive in

but anyway.... a remake is on the way
