i jst saw a little special on this film, it had critics and fans and whatnot PRAISING how scary this flick was, and how they all believed that this movie was a documentary and all that nonsense...personally i NEVER bought the hype and after watching the movie, i found it one of the most overated fliks ever!!!i cant believe people actually find it scary....

DID YOU???

i have chest hair in the shape of the famous blair witch symbol. now that't scary. 8o

I wasn't at all entertained by it. Of course, I was unable to suspend my disbelief, because I'm from the town the movie supposedly takes place in, thus I saw through the bullshit rather easily.

i watched this by myself one night. the last scene scared the piss out of me. from what i remember, the herky-jerky handheld camera thing was pretty revolutionary for a film that made it big. not sure if i'll ever watch this again after seeing the lousy sequel, though.

I went and saw it the 2nd day it was out, thinking it was all still real footage, and it scared the living hell out of me. I remember being 21 years old and laying in bed that night freaking out over every little sound I heard.

I saw it when it came out on video, and I thought it was terrible. It wasn't scary at all, I thought the pacing was terrible, it just didn't do it for me.

Funny thing is there's an apartment building near the cheap theater in my city, and about 6 floors up someone has the blair witch insignia done up with red christmas lights in their window. It's been up there for years.

Now you wanna know what was a complete and utter waste of time and money? the BLAIR BITCH oops WITCH PROJECT

God not only did it give me a massive headache , it also insulted my intelligence to the point that I wanted to hunt down the makers and HAVE THEM MURDERED.

This movie had nothing. Not a GODDAMN THING.
Watching the jerky camera motions turned my stomach and there was no need for it. I get it. Its a student movie , they are not professionals.
point made , stop with the vomit inducing shots please. Im a film student and even if I werent, whenever I videotape outings or whatever one couldnt be faulted for thinking im an epileptic..seriously...who's videos are THAT nauseatingly jumpy? Dont they teach film students how to hold a fucking camera in hold your 8MM steady 101???

Other than that its so fucking boring, so trite and so overhyped I left the theater feeling i had been duped. Made a mockery of. FOOLED.

And if you think the blair witch is terrifying ask yourself: what the fuck is wrong with you? Do you sleep with a goddamn nightlight illuminating your room and a teddybear tucked under your arm?

sorry i just hate this movie so much i wish i had never heard of it.

i watched this movie in theaters, the week it came out. the following morning, i walked to school, alone, and cut through the woods. so yeah, wasn't scary ;)

I saw this movie when it came out, i think. I remember it being REALLY REALLY long, and in the woods the whole time. I dont think anything ever really happened? they just wondered around the woods lost for a couple of days.

I liked the movie. I mean it wasnt an oscar movie but was pretty good to be a student made film. I wont even talk about the 2nd one...
