Just saw it last night. I was hurtin I was laughing so hard during the waxing scene, even though I knew it was coming. Really good comedy.

Pretty freaking hilarious. I thought it would suck ass from the previews too. Then again, it's sort of a good thing because previews have been known to kill many a comedy for me.

3 out of 4

This movie is beyond funny for people who can relate to it in certain ways... the fucking action-figures KILLED me, because I collected comic books when I was a kid.

I think the funniest thing was the "how I know you're gay" scene... I know YOU are gay because...

Even my dad (53 years old) thought it was fuckin hilarious... I seriously can't think of a funnier movie.

Anchorman is a close second... That cracked me up after watching it more than once. It is a lot funnier the more you watch it for some reason

There must be something wrong with me

I didn't like this movie. It had a few chuckles but that's all. I just felt sorry for the guy. All I kept thinking was, "The poor bastard, how can you live for 40 years with no love?"

I always feel this way about stupid, nerdy, clueless characters. The're always well meaning and nice. I guess I just identify with them too much.

LOL this is one of the funniest movies I've seen lately.....saw the DVD lying around the house and popped it in without knowing anything about it whatsoever.
Lmao one of my favorite scenes is when the store manager sings that "guatemalan love song" to him after the "fuckbuddy" convo....ROLF.

^ Agreed!

Funniest bit for me was:

Jill: You are never gonna meet anyone with that kind of mentality about women, you sick son of a bitch!
Andy Stitzer: Who the... Who the fuck are you to put me on trial? I've never even met you. So why don't you back the shit off alright? And stop with the inquisition.
Jill: That's how you talk?
Andy Stitzer: You know what I don't have to answer to you, you ain't my bitch. Kno' wha I sayin'! So shit man, fuck it!
Jill: You shouldn't even be hanging out with this pervert.
Jay: I don't hang out with him! I work with him, and that's it! I try to introduce him to a few nice people, he made a fool of himself, I don't mess him baby. That's not me.
Andy Stitzer: You should keep your hoe on a leash.
Jay: Oh, bro I can't let you talk
[Andy interrupts]
Jay: I Can't let you be talking to my woman that way, dawg.
Andy Stitzer: Hey, hey, hey, bitches be runnin' wild man.

=D

I thought it was gonna suck but I ended up thinking it was pretty classic. Maybe it wasn't as good as I thought but my expectations were so low? Not sure, but I'd def watch it again. I gave it 4 stars out of 4, but had there been a 5th star option I would have gone with number 4 again.

It was a good movie. It started off strong, lost a little steam once the love story angle took charge, and seemed to fizzle out at the end, but it had its share of laughs.

the only recent movie that meets this silly laugh out loud insanity would be 'grandmas boy' very. funny. movie. if you love juvenile crack ups, you will adore it.

Watched it again last night.

BEST COMEDY IN A LONG, LONG TIME. SIDESPLITTINGLY FUNNY.

I highly recommend watching it a second time. Carrell & the writing crew did a fantastic job...so much comedic texture in there that you might not have caught on the first viewing.

Best comedy of this era (mid-90's-present) thus far, imo.

Better than Swingers. Better than Napoleon Dynamite. Better than Anchorman (lol, AS IF). Better than Wedding Crashers. Better than Old School. Better than Austin Powers.

Two thumbs waaay the fuck up.

Hilarious fucking movie, HILARIOUS. I'v watched it like 4 times and it NEVER FAILS to make me laugh like a hyena. I also thought it just looked dumb as all shit from the previews but holy shit was I wrong.

Jay: [to Andy, in a bar] All you got to do is use your instincts. How do you think a lion knows to tackle a gazelle? It's written, it's a code written in his DNA, says, "tackle the gazelle." And believe it or not, in every man there's a code written that says, "tackle drunk bitches."

Three stars. It was good, but not great. I love comedies, but I've never seen a sex comedy that was more than merely "good". Besides, I'm too cynical from real-life to buy the premise (and conclusion) of this film.

I thought it was really funny even if it does drag on a little bit too long in the middle. The "age of aquarius" ending was worth waiting for too =D

Trish: What is this, your roofie, your date drug?
Andy Stitzer: It's a mentos. They're the freshmaker.

I really liked it.....was quite surprised cuz i thought it was gonna sucked....Thoguth it offered some intresting insights to relationships and women from a man's POV.....It also had a nice lil moral intertwined as well....Great movie
