Yeh they should of made a Spider-Man movie with Venom and Carnage in it.
Now those are villians!

You have to believe the execs know Venom is key for any more installments in this series...I'm guessing it'll happen in the 3rd film. Hell, X-Men are already pushing for the Phoenix.

I, like atlas, am excited for Dr. Octopus! I'm a little skeptical about Alfred Molina playing him (can't picture it too well) but from the previews he looks solid.

James Franco, who reprises the role of Harry Osborn in the upcoming sequel film Spider-Man 2, hinted to SCI FI Wire that his character will play a bigger role in the proposed third film in the hit franchise. "Am I looking forward to it? Yes," Franco said in an interview. "It's been a great experience, and [director] Sam [Raimi] is wonderful to work with."

In the Spider-Man comic series, Harry Osborn takes over the work his father, Norman Osborn, started; i.e., playing the Green Goblin. So will Harry become the next-generation Goblin? "That's what happens in the comics, but I don't think Sam will be predictable anyway," Franco said. "Who knows what's going to happen in number three?"

Whatever happens, Franco said that his character remains tortured by his father's death and Spider-Man's role in it. "He's very troubled, yeah," Franco said. Spider-Man 2 opens June 30.

I saw an advance screening of this, and it was exactly what I was expecting: cheesy, horrible script, entertaining fight sequences. Don't go to this movie if you're looking to be intellectually stimulated or care about character development. It's a good 2 hours of mindless entertainment. I personally wouldn't have paid to go see it though.

I thought that the first movie was decent, but nothing all that special. It was entertaining enough, but I thought it could've been better. I don't think that Tobey Maguire was really the best choice for the part. Willem Dafoe did a pretty good job though.

I agree that Venom would've been pretty cool to see, but Dr. Octopus should be good too. Venom will most likely be featured if they do a third movie.

Im excited to see this as well. But you guys dont even KNOW that we have a better movie back here in my country...To translate it from the vernacular......COCKROACHMAN. Lol!

film: spiderman 2

Searched and couldn't find a thread on this movie, so I thought I'd start one as I was pursuaded into viewing a midnight showing last night.

My thoughts, bearing in mind that I was very dissapointed with the first one, and that I generally don't go in for the big summer popcorn movies:

This is the best action movie I've seen in a very long time. Its the best comic book movie ever. spiderman 2 actually makes me look foreward to spiderman 5.

discuss.

i'm looking forward to this a lot. i have liked alfred molina sinnce his turn as joe orton's lover in 'prick up your ears'. he was great in 'boogie nights' too.

also, sam raimi is one of my favourite directors. i'm sure it will be a lot of saturday afternoon matinee fun.

i think this movie coulda been a lil better enjoyed it though
i dont like that there bringing back the green goblin
and it looks like kirsten dunst lost alot of wieght

I saw the movie last night.

I did think it was enjoyable and exciting however I think some of the dialogue was so overtly cheesy that it was hard to take seriously. I know it's a comic book movie and supposed to be that way, but I didn't think it was AS GOOD as the critics are making it out to be. But don't get me wrong, it was up there as far as superhero movies.

Overall I'd give a 7.8 out of 10, and defintely would recommend seeing it in the theater for the special effects. They are so much better on the huge screens.

The fight scenes are great. The storyline is good, and the dialogue is poor at best.
