Movie was killer, the dialoge was incredible, mostly taken stright out of miller's comic works.
Mickey kicked ass,the Merv character was my favorite in Basin City.

b/c of the noir aspects to it.. i loved it. , but i found this be quite a refreshing movie. I loved it. Storyline, visual effects, all great. I love seeing creativity and violence coming together :)

SPOILER ALERT!!!

I'm pretty sure Tarantino only directed the scene where benecio del toro is in the car with the gun through his head and clive owen is imagining him talking.......one of my favorite scenes.

I thought it was great. A very visually interesting, noir film. Plus I loved the cheesy dialogue. It was a graphicly violent movie but due to the way it was filmed it didn't bother me at all. It's so different from any other movie out there that it's just amazing. :)

The only actor I thought did a bad job was Michael Madsen. Worst acting I've seen in a lonnnnng time. At least he had a very minor role.

Shit! :(
That's a long wait with the temptation of a good telesync copy doing the rounds... :D

haha yeah the temptation was a little too much for me!

I am gonna see this tonight. I can't wait. Tarantino, FRANK MILLER, Rodriguez and one of my fave actors Michael Madsen.

guys if you liked the movie they came out with new TPBs (trade paper backs) collecting some Sin City storylines that make it real easy to get into the comics. if you thought the movie halfway delivered, the comics would knock you on your ass!

^really? wow. that is a bold statement.

movies that Tarantino is involved with... that ain't nothin new for an actor.

FUCKIGN BADASS!! I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!

AS STATED ABOVE MICKEY ROURKE DOES A FUCKING *AMAZING* JOB THAT REALLY MAKES YOU <3 HIS CHARACTER! I ALSO LIKE HANNIGAN (BRUCE WILLIS) PART WITH FRODO. SHIT MAN... I'M GONNA GO SEE IT AGAIN SOON!!

ALL THE TWISTS AND TURNS, SHIT! GOLDIE, WENDIE, WHO IS IT?!!? I LOVED HOW IT MADE YOU THINK THE MOVIE WAS OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN ONLY TO ROLL YOU RIGHT BACK INTO SOME FUCKING BADASS SCENE WHICH LEAVES YOU DROOLING FOR MORE, GREAT USE OF PAUSES!

[note: some oppinions here may be baised, I snuck in a 6pack of brew and downed it all before the first half was over]

Methinks Frank Miller is gonna make a killing on this shit and roll out a sequel..

fucking loved this movie. its the first movie in a LONG time that i havent spoken in a SINGLE word about in order to preserve the element of surprise and originality for my friends who want to see it. you know... you always want to tell someone about a part or two... but no... i want them to be just as amazed as i was! :)

^yeah it was awesome. saw the movie with my mother, hahaha. :)

what I enjoyed was it seems the dialogue of the movie was taken straight from the comic books. at times I could have sworn the separate chapters were exactly like the books! Elijah Wood's character was spooky but cool, Rosario Dawson looked dangerously beautiful, and Benecio del Toro did a great job as Jackie Boy.

I love good comic to movie movies!

and was Mickey Rourke the big crazy dude that wanted Goldie's revenge?

I couldn't tell with that "mug" of his.

^ yeah dude, i totally didnt realize that it was mickey rourke til i read an article. i thought it was ron pearlman, but i didnt remember him being associated with that movie so i was confused. ha.

also... chicks dig dudes that are good to their mothers. ;)

^that's a bold statement. but it was probably the most true comic to movie movie I've ever seen. the whole thing played out like a comic book. the dialogue was just swapped RIGHT from the comics. crazy.

honestly my favorite guy was the "right" guy (I think) who was in the prositute gangster segment. I liked him because he still had a sense of what was right and wrong amongst all the shit.

"that yellow bastard" was just creepy. now imagine how sweet PUNISHER would have been if FRANK MILLER was as involved with that flick as this one?!

(for those of you who dont know Miller wrote some bad ass Punisher arcs)

^bold indeed, however i will agree that maybe the punisher would have been been better if Miller had help out, same goes for the Batman movies, except the first two which kicked ass. And ya the "Yellow Bastard" character was creepy, but not as creepy as what Bruce Willis's character did to him....man that must have been painful.....
