MAybey spoilers....

yeah saw 2 sucks. Not enough pusszles. More just killing each other. First one people had missions to do to save their lives. In this one I only saw 2 (wow get it?) of them. The arm one and needle one. The oven stood no chance, the other dude killed other people, oh well it was free, this is why i love maVen, save me the money on shitty movies, then again it isnt stealing if i wouldnt have gone to the movie in the first place :)

**SPOILERS**

There was a valve inside the furnace that the guy saw as it was already too late. If he would have seen it in time, he would have suffered minimal burns.

As far as what relevance the peoples crimes were to the main plot... Well believe it or not, the house puzzle was not the main puzzle. Think outside of the box for a second.

Each member inside the house was not necessarily guilty of a crime, but instead they have all been arrested by the boy's dad (I'm horrible with names); if you remember in the beginning of the movie, the father mentions taking his own son to jail, or something of along those lines.

Each member DID have a their own puzzle, relating to what they are "guilty" of in life; or what prevents them from really appreciating life. However, not all the puzzles were reached.

The house was a "mini-puzzle" in itself. The main puzzle here was the officer and his son. The main puzzle, was sitting there face to face, having a conversation with jigsaw; listening to him. Something he obviously could not do for jigsaw, or his own son. "The rules are simple, just sit here and listen to me" which if he did, he would have been re-uinted with his son.

It's kind of like at the end of the first movie, when they find the tape player on the doctors assistant (forgot the name again, sorry). They had thought the whole time he was in fact jigsaw, but was really merely a pawn in the puzzle.

No shit. My point is what significance would all of those numbers have if there wasn't a way to put them together. The safe combination would have needed an order, you could spend days trying to figure out the order.

**SLIGHT SPOILER**

Direct quote from the movie explaining the answer to that question, it comes from the very first tape they listen to after Amanda (the junkie) wakes up and finds the tape player in the wall "the order to the numbers on the safe can be found somewhere over the rainbow." The colors of the rainbow go in the order of red. orange. yell. green. blue. indigo. violet. The numbers on the back of each persons neck were in colors. Im thinking you just werent paying attention to this movie at all when you were watching it.

Damnit spoilers! I want to read, but I don't want to at the same time. Damn yous and your temptations! ;)

This movie sucked just as bad, if not worse, than the first. The only satisfaction I get from having wasted my time (and boyfriend's money) seeing it was giving it one star just now. Take that, shitty movie with grand canyon sized holes in your retarded plot!

tranceaddict, don't listen to vibr8or, she doesn't know what she's talking about. This movie is great!!!!!!

"spoilers" <---note the quotation marks, used because nothing I say will actually spoil this piece of shit movie; it did that on its own long before any reviews were written.

Why did I hate this movie? Let's see...the acting was piss poor, from the unbelievable performance by the female cop to the over-the-top drug dealer who looks out for no one but himself. Yeah, we get it, you're a loner. I understand he doesn't think twice about throwing the girl in the pit of needles, but wouldn't it have made sense and been more time effecient to dig through the pit with the long stick with the spikey end? Wouldn't it?

I was bored and uninterested in why cancer guy feels the need to test people. His defense of "I don't kill people; they have a choice" is fucking retarded. The guy in the opening scene was trying to get the key with an unrealistic time limit. I'm all for tense movies with gore, but all this movie is good for is pointless violence and gore. It makes me mad that so many people see it as intelligent and thought provoking.

How the hell can you watch this and not get completely distracted and caught up on things like the fact that an entire swat team was at the warehouse building, but there was NO backup outside?!?! He carries the guy out, puts him in a van and drives away so fucking fast that no one can tail them? And they had like what, 10 minutes left at that point? So how many square miles would they possible need to search in order to find this fascinating maze house that has rotting corpses in it from a few years ago when the first piece of shit movie was released?

Ok, I'll over look that. I'll also overlook the fact that *phew!*, coincidently, the key that the kid and the evil girl needed just happened to be on the body of the guy that was dead in the room with them. I'm sure she probably had a spare key just incase, right? It sure was lucky for her that she didn't end up with the mace stick to the back of her head by the craaaaazy mexican dood who doesnt give a shit! I wonder how they would have written their way out of that one!

So yeah, everyone got really sick, puking up blood and dying but the girl and the son, so I'll assume they got the "antidote" ahead of time. She sure was patient to wait in the bathroom til the end like that, knowing that the cop would end up in there because I'm sure they were both confident he'd be able to get away alone with her "dad." Ya know, for a seasoned cop that has dealt with some pretty tough criminals, he sure got surprised by that girls quick moves and needle. Lemme guess... no one will be able to find him either, because a 10 square mile area is way too large to comb through. 8)

If only he just sat there and talked to the guy. Then the police could have just arrested him and said "Fuck those other people!" Yeah, that makes sense.

this movie sucked.

Yeah, the movie was lame.

There were holes in the plot big enough to drive a truck through.

This movie seems to base a lot on suspension of disbelief. Most of the major plot devices and premises are so contrived that it's insulting. It switches gears with no regard for the intelligence of the viewer: one moment trying to be deep and profound, the next moment relying on the hope that no one will notice the MAJOR HOLE in what just happened.

They try to throw a left hook at you by giving the end not one big twist, but two. Both of them are just as lame as the "big twist" from the first movie. Speaking of which, I'm wondering how many "alternate endings" will be on the DVD... because they couldn't have written just that one and been happy with it. I bet there are half a dozen different scenarios they came up with for who the killer was, who died, who lived etc etc... and the one in the theatres was the one that tested... not the worst.

Has anyone heard or seen anything about this? The other day i saw a preview for it on TV and it says its to be released the 28th of this month. Its like it came out of nowhere, because thats the first and only time ive heard about it. It looked pretty bad ass though.

Anyone have any info on it?

The first SAW movie was shot in only 3 weeks!

It was said in the extras if ya watched it.

A rough count of loose ends:
1.They make it clear that everyone there has been arrested, but no one bothers to try and find out how/why. Therefore, its totally not explained why half of the people in the house are there in the first place, and that is supposed to be a major plot point that ties the story together.
2. They don't show what every major player's personal puzzle is... why the hot spanish chick gets stuck in the box, why the little blonde girl is there, why the black guy is there, why that weird homeless guy is there. You know that the big guy is a drug dealer and that the girl from the last movie was a heroin addict... not really the whole story.
3. They never explain what the numbers on the back of the necks mean, or how it corolates to the story. I would guess that it is the cop's badge number or something but they just let it die.
4. They totally gloss over the relationship between John and the junkie, letting a 5 second clip explain the motivation for the entire story.

Eh, it was totally lame, but I think I'll watch the first one, everyone I've talked to has said that it was much better.

Exactly, everyone I've talked to thats seen it said they liked it but, I dont know how you could have with so many fucking plot holes.

Wasn't scary at all and it wasn't even that suspenseful considering they were on a time limit to live.

The only reason I enjoyed the first one was the puzzles, thats what made it somewhat different then all the other horror/suspense movies and they took them out of this movie. The puzzles they did show where never solved or explained. But, I guess one could argue they were never meant to be and everyone was supposed to die.

When I go to see a movie like this, I go to be entertained. I was. I do not care about the intricacies (or lack there of) of the movie. A movie doesn't have to be smart for me to enjoy it. That doesn't mean that I am unintelligent. It is a fucking horror movie. I was not in search of cinematic brilliance.

^^Yeah totally agree. Wasnt as impressed as the first one. Storyline wasn't strong like the first one either. Either way it was ok to watch. And somehow i reckon the acting was a bit under par compared to the first. Or was that just me

The twist at the end of this movie was interesting, but I really hope they don't turn this into a franchise film, like Friday the 13th. The other 10 episodes of Friday the 13th made the first one seem kinda lame, IMO.

it almost was. sadly the director or writer (i cant remember which one, but hes really important none the less) died while writing (i guess it was the writer) the scripits for the next two films. So no, there wont be anymore.

Link please. As far as I know, all writers and directors are alive and well. I assume you were referring to Leigh Whannel, who seems to be rather not dead.

^ i cant seem to find anything about it. I read it in my local newspaper, saw it on the local news, and heard it from many people though.
