I recently saw that someone just made a movie about ecstasy...its called "rolling" as a big fan of rolls im extremely excited about this movie.

i've heard of it, according to their home page no one has picked it up for distribution rights yet.. its won several awards so i'm not sure why no one has maybe because of the type of film it is

hopefully sooner then later someone will though!

Yeah, i heard about it. I guess there was a screening in Seattle just AFTER i moved away from there. So tragic. I too would really like to see that.

Every ecstasy movie I've seen so far has not been very good.

I've seen trailers for this though and it looks at least somewhat realistic. Which is good.

they keep changing the release date for the dvd on their website (rollingmovie.com). first it was supposed to be released in spring 2008, then summer, and now it says early 2009. i think they finally found a distributor for the film. i can't wait to see it, i will certainly be one of the first to order it when it comes out! although i feel like i've pretty much seen the whole thing due to all the trailers and clips that are out there on youtube (there's like 4 or 5 of them) but maybe the movie will bring something surprising to the table. i'm looking forward to it.

it was crap.

HOWEVER, it was the most accurate depiction of rolling I've seen (waaay better than Go) and void of any of the sensational BS you usually see with the exception of in the first scene, two girls end up making out when they're on it for the first time.

It sounded like the producers interviewed several users and used their commentary as the script. It was VERY VERY accurate in terms of how a night goes, the type of shit you say in cuddle puddles and how you feel about it when you're sober.

But, even though it was done properly in that aspect, the movie itself was just shit. Bad acting, stereotypical characters, and overdone directing. It would have been better as a straight up documentary.

I didnt think Go was that much a film about rolling though. For an X movie, I much prefer Groove.

I suppose it would be ok to watch... maybe on the come down. When you're peaking, there are plenty of other ways to better spend your time
