Film: Rocket Science (2007)
Just saw this last night. It's about a kid who is invited to join the high school debate team despite the fact that he has an uncontrollable stutter. He falls in love with the girl who invited him, only to be ignored and made a fool of. Was actually very funny and quirky- kind of like Napoleon Dyanmite except without the lack of emotion or belly laughs. Plus the soundtrack consists entirely of Violent Femmes (including piano/cello renditions of Add it Up and Blister in the Sun). I can't think of a more appropriate band to use in this context. Anyways, I highly recommend it.
