How so?

I'm a huge fan of both AI and Minority Report. Two scenes need to be cut or edited from Minority Report -- the scene with Agatha describing to Anderton and his wife how their little boy would have been a high school athlete (gag!) and the scene with the crazy-gardener-scientist lady. Other than that, there is brilliant CGI here and some great Spielberg action sequences.

When I was reading lots of Sci-Fi, way back when, it was mainly Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, and the like.

Some friend of mine gives me this book to read..."It's great! Try it." It was "Ubik", by Philip K. Dick. And, it was different from anything else I'd ever read, to be sure.

But, aside from that short story he had in Ellison's "Dangerous Visions" collection, and "Man in the High Castle", he was fairly obscure, back then. I'm talking about 1980, say.

His predictions, if you want to call them that, have certainly had a better track record than those of the more traditional "space opera" writers.

i watched this somewhat recently because i kept reading it described as dystopian.. I was surprised to like a Spielberg movie with tom cruise in it but it was pretty solid :) 4 of 5 stars for me

I never said it was bad. I just said, like Minority Report, the film could have had the last 15 minutes chopped off and would have been better for it.

When the fucking ads know you by name and talk to you...when the fucking cereal box sings a jingle at you...

Glad I'll be dead.

I agree that the ending was stupid...so stupid, in fact, that it made me hate this movie. It was far too long, and the idea behind the movie, the plot, just sucked. Didn't interest me. I am not a huge Spielberg fan, he tends to fuck shit up more often than not by making the movie sappy as hell. 1 star.

I would like a sick stick, though...that'd be SCHWEET.
