This movie sucks, was looking forward to seeing it....but bitterly dissapointed....should be rated G cos it aint for adults !!! i actually fell asleep after Billy Connoly was killed, thats how crap it is.

Three stars; it was good, but not great. Having read the book recently, though, I can call it a fairly faithful adaptation (though the book is indeed darker, as aforementioned). Aside from that, the characters were a bit too flat for me to care about them for longer than the movie (or the book) lasted. Excellent F/X and cinematography, though--and I *LOVED* the fake preview.
