Jen and Kira were FAR superior main characters!!! The Dark Crystal just really did it for me. It reminded me of a final fantasy game. You can just get completely immersed in it.

I have embarassed myself on many occasions (usually after a couple of drinks or whatnot) by 'bragging' how I know that "you remind me of the babe" initial song off by heart and can sing it on a whim.

Chicks dig a guy who sings old David Bowie songs badly from a children's fantasy movie. Maybe.

For some reason the only fantasy movies I have ever really enjoyed were Labyrinth and The Princess Bride. Other's havent done much for me though admittedly I have not seen The Dark Crystal yet...

My daughter is 6 and she has been raised on DC and Labyrinth, can't let the classics be forgotten! My personal favourite still has to be Neverending Story tho.
