The directorial debut of the man responsible for the lethal weapon movies, the last boyscout, last action hero and the long kiss goodnight has a ridiculously plot, a stupid title, but all the negatives are overshadowed by the laugh riot of a ride.
I haven't heard so many audible gasps and digusted awwws in a theatre as long as i can remember (i'm drinking right now).
I recommend this fun ride which proves that plot isn't everything. It's refreshing to see a film that takes the piss with the audience, and treats itself as it actually is, just a film.
 
I've already seen it, my mom's friend works for Warner Bros. we got an advanced screening in Dallas. It was great, very funny dialogue, good characters, just a fun film all the way around.
 
i agree; funny, unique movie, definitely worth the ticket price for me. Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer were great in this. It's like an old fashioned spy movie, with tons of unexpected funny stuff thrown in.
 
agreed. i thought it was a well thought out film, and was pleasantly suprised by how good Val Kilmer was (generally I hate him) . recommended..
 
It looks great, can't wait to see it! I'v always been a Val Kilmer fan (though he has undoubtedly done some VERY QUESTIONABLE movies, spartan for example) but his movies are hit or miss. I hope this one is as good as the reviews it has been getting.
 
Awesome , think lethal weapon 5 meets big lebowski. it came out on region 2 dvd already, kinda strange that it wont be released in the states until may/june.
 
maybe it's because i've been watching way too many films lately, but this is...to keep it short, forgettable and regrettable viewing. films like this have been done to death and i wouldn't be disappointed so much if it had not have been given good reviews by critics in australia that i respect. downey jr and kilmer put in satisfactory performances but i just couldn't help but think "why should i be interested in this?" throughout the entire film.
 
i agree. this was shit. i think that downey jr. and kilmer did the best that they could with what they were given to work with, but that what they were given was essentially of poor quality.

i haven't seen KKBB, but it's supposed to be a great movie. i'd definitely settle for one of those plasma screen things. though jager works too.
 
kiss kiss bang bang was pretty good and theres definately some scenes that could be done.... funny movie
 
i watched this film over two nights, about half and half- a bit more the second night
after the first night i was pretty happy with the film. i liked where it had been and was going, i like downey jr. in his role. he was fine as the narrator.
then i finished it last night and really... it went on too long, it was boring and (even if it was part of the point) too confusing and jumbled. i do like that they twisted the end to not be like the books that holiday centered her life on.
