LOL. I just saw the trailer for this on TV and I thought, "I have to see that nonsense". 
Synopsis: Based on two true stories, Julie & Julia intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends...until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible.

I don't think Julia Child ever made it onto UK TV, but I certainly remember seeing clips of her show in films such as Desperately Seeking Susan, and of course, The Goonies. She was always somewhat of a comical character to me, and I'm sure many others too. So much so that I distinctly remember being stuck in detention with my best friend at school, and we spent our hour imitating Julia just to entertain ourselves. Not exactly Breakfast Club material, but hey, there was nobody worth reaching out to in our school.
Anyhoo, looks like Meryl does a good job at capturing the essence of Julia. Anyone else tempted?. :D
