Film: Jamón, jamón

Ah, I finally managed to watch this. It sat on my shelf for about a year before I'd gotten to it.

This film came up as a sort of wacky footnote in a Spanish Film class I took in my last year of university. It was mentioned as a notable product of the "cinema of bad taste" movement in Spain. Penelope Cruz fanboys ought to check this one out if they want to see her a bit more on the...wild... side.

This movie is basically what I'd imagine would happen if a soap-opera director was tripping the whole time. Its just... fucked. Its all about spanish people having sex. But it is simply very hillarious. I found myself laughing very hard at some points.

An immature rich guy gets off watching his girlfriend's mother flirting with a parrot.

The guy's mother gets off eating garlic and seducing the hunk she hired to ruin the relationship between her son and the girl.

Said son gets angry at gf, tries to fuck her below a large bull-shaped billboard, but being rejected, gets angry and knocks the bull's testicles off.

Need I say more?

Anyone else seen this? (I doubt it...)

Haven't seen this but I've seen a few of Almovadar's films and I dig them.

Almodovar is awesome! My favourite is "All about your mother" (todo sobre me madre?)... that one made me cry, seriously.

i've seen this film advertised many, MANY times over the years but have yet to take the time to watch it. it seems to be on SBS often.

I honestly cannot get over that parrot scene though. WTF? haha. Its good it is near the beginning of the film so it makes you want to watch more.
