FILM: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1

just saw it. the first thing that struck me was how much they had to leave out of the book. that said, i think they really captured the general feel of the material well.

standouts for me were the animated scene they used to tell the story of the 3 brothers - it was an absolute work of art. also, some of the geography they used as the backdrop during the scenes when they are on the run were incredible.

the whole way through the movie i knew it was going to end half way through but it still sucked when then ending came. i just want to see part 2...

I saw it online but it was great quality....I thought it was top 3 of the Potter series and the animation was fantastic! I know it is part 1 of 2 but the ending was too much of a cliffhanger.

holy shit i'm so excited! i grew up with that bullshit, when i was 17 i freaked out knowing that the end of harry potter/ my childhood had arrived and i was so depressed at the end of this book i staid in bed for a week. rough time, lol.

i just saw this.

holy shit the story of the three brothers was so great. it really was amazing, you are right ali. i loved it all. i'm a ron/hermoine shipper, it frustrates me to see how slow it goes. but I also think the last two movies have done incredible things for Draco Malfoy. Reading the books he was one of those i hated so much. But he really is an important character, and his choices are very important and have serious consequences. you can see it in his face, he knows he's chosen the wrong side, and doesn't know what to do when he knows he's in the wrong. he knows he shouldn't tell on Harry, but he feels that he owes his father. It's really intense. There are some characters in the book that don't get enough time, and I think Draco is one of those. He has become one of my favourites, and I'm excited to see how the next movie treats him.

even though the movies are nice, I cannot get myself to be excited about them because it feels so much that they created the hype over a just out in stores book

the guys with money decided :this is going to be your hero for the next 10 years" rather than the people showed that they loved him and the industry followed with movies
(as in "lord of the rings" ethically > "harry potter")

It was pretty good for someone who's never read any of the books or watched any of the movies. Ralph fiennes as voldemort is pretty awesome.

except if she put a transparent sticker cut 3 mm around the design so that you could see nice shiny folds, then it's not a real tattoo
