really not my type of movie... i didnt laugh out loud or anything but i didnt recoil in disgust from the fart and sex jokes like i normally would
and there was a moral *ahhh*
not a complete waste of time like i would have expected... a good party light hearted young movie
but i would rathger watch most other stoner movies over this (half baked, dazed and confused...)

I loved it i think it needed to be a bit more adventurous tho, they were given permisssion to make it R rated so i thought it would have been cool if they made it a bit more out there

excellent flick, i love to to put on the unrated dvd, and roll about 4 spliffs while watching it, my fav part is the gas station scene after they pick up NPH n' that guy goes "EXTREME KAYAKING" "check it out dood EXTREME CHEDDAAAAAAAAR" great movie.

It wasn't funny to me at all. Just a series of contrived events aimed at the typical jock/frat guy.

Well said pdx. :)

I hated this movie. Most of my stoner friends loved it, but I didn't like it at all. I hate these stoner movies that don't have much of a point, but are mainly just a series of unfortunate events that revolve around smoking weed. :p

This movie was pretty damn funny. The only scene I thought was just stupid, and not stupid funny was the Cheetah scene. That was just dumb.

I'll give it 3 outta 4.

eagleplatinum, I think to appreciate this kind of movie, you have to be really high when you see it. You weren't, were you?

^ i agree, fuckin.... FREAKSHOW had me rollin, praise the lord n' pass the ammuntion, going down to georgia, rofl, i gotta get this dvd.

I loved this movie. And it's funny since I live in Jersey because I recognized some of the White Castle locations they were talking about. One of them is in the town I live in now.

Actually what I didn't like about this movie was that it made no sense to me, geographically.

The nearest White Castle to Hoboken is that one on Rt 17 near The Fiesta. And the second closest one is in Paterson. After midnight it would only take 20 minutes to get there, and they could pick up some weed nearby as well.

What the hell were they doing in New Brunswick?

"Don't move. Stop resisting! We need back up now! He's got a gun!"

"That's not a gun, that's a book."

"Secure the book!"

"Book is secure. You bring this filth in here? What is this shit?"

Classic :)

For the people who didnt like it let me ask you this

- do you live in New Jersey?

- Have you ever been to White Castle ( oh dear god the greatness)

- Did you smoke weed and watch it?

i fucking love White Castle, occasionally.

It plays out like a typical stoner movie for the most part, with lots of predictable moments. However, I am beside myself with joy because the two stars are Korean and Indian -- and the movie is not about minority race issues or anything like that. It's a wonderful step forward for kids all over America who feel like average joes and yet never see that reflected back at them when they watch TV or movies. :)

yes! just saw this recently on Cinemax...pretty damn slick and FUNNY!

i was forced to watch this last week. pleasantly surprised by some of the hilarious bits in it.

That shit was hilarious...the part where theyre blazed as hell and watchin TV and its like "today, a cheetah excaped from the zoo" and they like..."Haaaaaaaaah" is a PERFECT fuckin stoner moment. so true. they captured that totally fried the fuck out stoned shit 100%.

its one of the most actual REALISTIC movies of weed i seen, i mean them gettin high wasnt just like "haaah im high i wanna eat" like half baked which never been my favoritem and the actors were pretty natural seeming...like when kumar is callin harold "vaginey mcginerstein" or whatever it was lol. good shit.

Anybody notice that the music in the background the SECOND kumar spies the huge bag of weed in the police desk (while trying to get Harold out of his cell) is exactly the SAME song used in Virgin Suicides when Lux runs back to the car and starts kissing Trip Fontaine? Anybody know what that song was? im DYING to find out.

The Sequel is here in eight months time:D

Harold and Kumar end up in Gitmo!

The premise of the movie involves Kumar Patel, the Indian American protagonist of the original film, being mistaken for a 'bomb carrying terrorist' while the pair are trying to sneak a bong on board a plane en route to Amsterdam. They are incarcerated in a Guantanamo Bay detainment camp but manage to escape.[1]

The movie follows their adventures as fugitives from the Department of Homeland Security as they travel through Miami to Texas and ultimately find themselves in the ranch-house of President George W. Bush.[1][5][6]
